Hacking Simple IOS Patcher Downloaded with ModMii - What's It For?

The ModMii Wizard downloaded a Homebrew app called Simple IOS Patcher, however the guide never says to use it.
So my question is, what's it for and why did ModMii download it if it never instructed me to use it?

It just restores the Trucha signing bug. If you already have a cIOS installed (like 249/250) there's no need for it. You can just use one of those for installing WADs.

Ok, thanks. Seems odd that ModMii would download it without instructing me to use it though, but whatever.
