ok that is just lame why didnt the software fail on other firmwares, I was using all the same files, and on both 3ds systems that were on 9.9
the downgrade went exacly the same way with the same error, so lets just agree to disagree ok I dont care either way.

Its all has to do with the timing of the exploit eexecution. Has nothing to do with what firmware your currently on. Also the nand type could be a factor, the sd card brand as well. But it all really boils down to the exploit which is not 100% stable.

Quick question - Got a friend with an 9.5 N3DS. Does the Browserhax still work? It's been anges since I've last downgraded a N3DS. Not so sure if everything still works.

Yes, it does, up to 10.5 iirc.

i have to wait now millions of years to get a 11.0 downgrader

Without an ARM9 exploit, there will never be a 11.0+ software downgrader. This time we have a hardcoded minimal version of titles, so this time an ARM11 exploit won't work. If we get ARM9 on 11.0 well also be able to have CFW there, and the only useful downgrade will probably be 2.1 for A9LH.

thats great. so it'll even do with a 2ds. i'm still just nervous thinking on though. it's why it's still sitting here on 10.3 firmware. me and my overthinking head.

Hey,

I bought a New 3DS on eBay recently but sadly it has 11.0 installed so I'm thinking about buying a new one that maybe has fw under 11.0 (because if I install .cia's through the 9.2 method it's still gonna be cheaper than buying a Sky3DS+ damn they're expensive).
Now I'm wondering if there is a chance that a New 3DS will be sold with 11.0 that would be pretty sad? And the more important question until which version downgrading is possible without hardmod?

I bought a new 3ds last week on ebay germany. it was new, and on 9.4. After several tries the downgrade failed half way (partial downgrade). I updated back to 9.4 with lego jurassic world on my sky3ds. Will try again tomorrow.
Before in january the downgrade worked on my 9.9 and 10.3 new 3ds .

This guide still uses the sysupdate from january.
I change to the Plailect Part-2 9.2.0-Downgrade on github, it has a newer version.
Edit2:
PlaiSysUpdater is much better. Downgrade worked fine from 9.4.0-20E to 9.2.0-20E.

Well, I installed all my files, and I'm stuck with the text "Updates installed. Rebooting in 10 seconds." I've been here for at least 10 minutes, and I don't know if I should manually reboot the system. Did I already screw up (I did everything right.)? Downgrading from 9.4 to 9.2.

just reboot. Good luck cuz you used this version here. You should have used playsysupdater

if it didnt worked, well you can update to the latest or try again, depends on which firm works

Ah, sounds bad. And the tutorial I followed just said to use the normal sysupdater.

Well, I rebooted. Black screen. And what's the arm9 exploit? And, I don't think I can boot up homebrew. Is the exploit for 11.0?
