Tutorial Simple Guide to Downgrading your 3DS

I have a 3ds in 9.8.0-25U version, is possible i upgrade to 10.7.0-32U?
Because i'll trying downgrade to 9.2 and 3ds freezes in the sysupdate, safesysupdater screens.
I have formatted my 3ds many times.

When I get into sysupdater there is no kernel exploit or steps listed, simply the options.
I've tried rebooting and running multiple times with no other results.
Has anyone seen this/have any suggestions?

pressing Y does nothing, and if I'm not mistaken the kernel exploit runs upon opening sysupdater and the steps should already be there.
Im certain im not missing any CIA files and cant think what else I could do.

Keep trying, should be use psyupdater however its spelled anyhow as its the latest.

It does nothing for a while, you have to be patient.

every video or screenshot I've seen shows the kernel exploit and steps present upon opening sysupdater, whereas i have nothing. (reference screenshot)
I've also tried just being being patient but 45 minutes into pressing y and nothing has happened. I've tried a few times, same results.

Alternate way to downgrade: use devmen2x (version 0.15.8 r37904)

1. put all your firm cias in a single folder with no other files just like with sysupdater or it's variants.
2. launch devmenu_2x and press L + R +A (import all cias). Press Ok
3. (important) without exiting devmen, go to 0004013800000002.cia (native_firm) and select Start +Y (update firmware). Ok.
4. Reboot your system. the update should be applied although the screen may be black for a while. take your sd out if you downgraded to firm 2.x

Notes and warnings: this is early so only only try on a hardmodded 3ds or emunand. I tested downgrading a 9.2 old3ds to 2.1.
Do NOT try with any other version of devmenu as the auto-delete-replace title is not present on these versions. updating should work as well but haven't tested that. Q: why use this instead of sysupdater? A: Professional code vs. amatuer. That's all the reason I can give for now and it may not actually be better. We'll see.

Well you can't downgrade on 11.0 without a hardmod.

hello just downgrader my 3rd new 3ds xl successfully now it was interestin the first on which is MMLE downgraded right away no issues from 10.3 to 9.2
The second one which is black was on 9.9 that one got an error message during the downgrade and had to reboot, the 3ds booted to home menu but certain things wouldent work so i used sky3ds and updated to 9.4 and then i successfully downgraded to 9.2.
Now finally the red 3DS i just did was also on 9.9 and i used all the same files on all of them and it did the exact sama thing the black one did,and again i used sky 3ds updated to 9.4 and then it worked. I think the firmware u r downgrading from has an impact on the success rate.

ok but how do u explain being able to downgrade from 10.3 and 9.4 on first try but i wasnt able to do it at all

Software fails is all. Has nothing to do with what version your on.

ok that is just lame why didnt the software fail on other firmwares, I was using all the same files, and on both 3ds systems that were on 9.9
the downgrade went exacly the same way with the same error, so lets just agree to disagree ok I dont care either way.
