Have you been able to successfully downgrade your 3DS/2DS?

Mine says
"ERROR : Can't force threads to core 1.
Failure! :("

Should I restart or am I just missing something?

Has anyone on 10.1 and below managed to successfully downgraded to 9.2 using homemenuhax and has anyone bricked? It seems homemenuhax is causing bricks on 10.1 and below but working on 10.3.

I was on a 9.9 o3ds and successfully downgraded to 9.2 using homemenuhax. It took a lot of tries (around 15), but it eventually worked.

Any help? I downgraded from 10.3 to 9.2 and when I go to open system settings it just shows the Nintendo 3ds loading screen but never opens.

I followed the directions on the 1st page. Downgraded a O3ds from 9.5.0-23U to 9.2.0-20U. Thank you. Working fine. Tested out SBS3ds on it.

Edit : Had to run a system format to get it to boot up (return to the home screen) without having to remove the SD Card. I think that I could have just formatted it also.

So the bricks so far seem pretty random right? (apart from a few wrong CIAs used). It CAN randomly crash while loading the CIAs and lead you to a soft/hard brick, or so I recollected.

I also finally managed to downgrade from 10.3 (US) to 9.2 on an o3ds XL

For a while I was stuck with a line 100 error: could not read CIA information.

This error:
Every time I try I get the error:

titleException:
main.cpp:100: Result: 0xD8E08067
Failed to get CIA file info!

Any advice? I've tried with both menuhax and ironhax

The fix was simple enough: I just re-extracted the CIA's zipfile using a different program. I couldn't tell you what to use on Windows, but for OS X, using The Unarchiver, rather than the system's unzip utility helped.

Obviously, after unzipping, you need to copy the new files over. But after that, it was quick and painless — even rebooted!

So maybe put that in the op for the few people who've had issues?

Downgraded from 10.3.0U to 9.2.0-20U on a N3DS successfully! Took around ten tries to get in, but it worked perfectly after that. Refer to my post history to see exactly what I did; hopefully it'll help you all.
