Have you been able to successfully downgrade your 3DS/2DS?

If I remove extdata (where theme is stored for homemenuhax) from my SD card, I get "an error has occurred." With the homemenuhax extdata, I am able to press power at the home screen then home to get a "Home Menu" screen which just stays there. At this point, the system is NOT frozen; I can turn wifi on/off, and repeat the power button process to get the "press home/power" prompt.

Every time I try I get the error:

titleException:
main.cpp:100: Result: 0xD8E08067
Failed to get CIA file info!

Any advice? I've tried with both menuhax and ironhax

Are you 100% sure you have the right pack, from other posts I have read, that error seems to mean you are trying to install o3ds FW on n3ds or vice versa. Which would have resulted in a brick btw.

Reporting that My downgrade was successful! Am now on 9.2! Great job guys o.o
Only had one freeze and that was on the App bootup(For sysupdater)
After a restart it worked fine!

"Rebooting in 10 seconds"... been on this for about a minute now...
Someone advised that it's safe to force shutdown if it doesn't reboot on its own, but it might be too late, I don't know... I think it's too late for mine in general; no matter what I do, can't get recover mode or boot. :/

EDIT: SCRATCH that. Got recovery mode literally as I posted. o_o

so, how has everyone been able to run sysupdater?

I've been trying 10 times using all of my availible *hax entrypoints, still haven't gotten anything.

I'm not even a pirate. if I brick i'll be pissed ! LOL

If you are getting "an error has occurred" after "successfully" downgrading, and you used HomeMenuHax as your entry point, try the following:
BACKUP and REMOVE payload files from SD card root. BACKUP and REMOVE homemenu extdata (/Nintendo 3DS/<a bunch of numbers and letters>/<a bunch of numbers and letters>/extdata/00000000/0000008f). Insert SD card back into 3DS. Hold L+R+UP+A before powering on, power on, and continue to hold the buttons.

This got me into recovery mode.
