Tutorial Simple Guide to Downgrading your 3DS

Hey guys I successfully updated to 9.2, I am so happy.
Using the method @perkel told me.

Now there is only on problem menuhax doesn't work, any alternatives?

If you reinstall menuhax it should work but ninjhax/oothax work and browserhax works. And mset if you downgrade to 4.x

Maybe I'm just not meant to be on 9.2? I've uninstalled and reinstalled menuhax in order to follow a tutorial to the letter, and I still soft-brick. And I'm on an O3DS XL, so this should be working.

Have you tried formatting the system before downgrading?

I'm gonna do that, and if that doesn't work I'm just waiting for KTM. Although, I've never formatted a 3DS before. If I remove my SD card, format, link NNID and then insert my SD card again, do I still have to redownload my games?

I myself got something different now, I replaced boot.3dsx with sysUpdater and now it froze after pressing Y. I waited 5 minutes now, I guess I'll reboot :/

One last thing,i've seen somewhere that 8 lines in "#1,#2,#3" ending with a "Success" message should appear,but it's the 4th time that I reset the system,and nothing.
(Using Julian's SysUpdate),is something wrong?

Have you tried formatting the system before downgrading?

That did the trick, although I'm on 9.0 instead of 9.2, but that'll work.

When my 3ds ends downgrade and console restarts , an error appears saying: "an error has occurred you hold down the power button to turn off the power Then turn it on and try again..."
I then entered the recovery mode and upgrade,
but when attempt to downgrade the error reappears in the same way
What should I do ?

Managed to get Julian's sysUpdater to run once more, but with glitched text, so I didn't go ahead. Is there any method of getting sysUpdater to launch more reliably on N3DS? It seems like this is the most difficult step in the process so far, the rest looks like it's relatively smooth.

Okay okay everything installed and I got the 10 second reboot message, it did reboot, blue and yellow light are on but screens stay dark.

This is the part where I wait 5 minutes, turn the 3DS off, remove my SD card and pray, right?

I would advise waiting for the official release. You really don't want a 100$+ paperweight.

Black screen is a bit vague for me, I just did it for the first time too XD

Make sure you have all the needed files in the right places.

You can maybe try the older rxTools too.

How did you get it working? I've been sitting here with the same problem you've been having all morning.

You don't need to wait just turn it off, remove the sd and turn it on. If it doesn't work try recovery mode but I got a black screen on mine until I removed the sd so that's probably it.

Hi! I read aaaall the pages (yeah, the 149) and I am trying to downgrade 1º time
o3DSXL 9.9U with julian20 sysupdater and the full zip cias.
HBL running from menuhax, I'm stuck on this (I press Y a couple of times) for at least 10 minutes.
What I have to do? Wait more? Power off?
