Vanilla WoW was awesome. I have to say that.

I went back to it on a 15 day trial and it's been transformed into something that I wish not to play anymore. It was good, but IMO it's not anymore.

Just, whatever you do, don't try a private server before you go onto the blizz servers. all Private servers are shit, full of bugs, and usually can't handle that many people on the server, meaning that your chances of finding a party to do anything are slim to none.

Of course my opinion is just one of many. You may enjoy WoW, since you aren't jaded from what it USED to be like. Me? Well, you know what they say...you can never go home again.

Also, WoW is addicting, yes, but only for the first year or so. After that, it's a little easier to tear yourself away.

If you want to play a MMO that you don't have to pay every month, i would say Guild Wars. Yes, it's not as popular as WoW but it's still a very good game. Good storyline in the game

I have to agree with this, but if you do play Guild Wars, just wait for GW2.

No. WoW is a terrible game and a massive time hog.
Hmm 12+ million other people tend to disagree with you. And it's not a time hog if you don't let it consume your life. I am an avid player in a US top 1000 raiding guild (ranked 991) that is pushing for a top 500 spot next expansion and I sure as hell don't let it consume my life. I play for at most on a day off 6 hours, working days I play for 3 hours or on raid nights, otherwise I am doing other things. And I do have a social life, I spend more time at the gym in a week these days then I do playing a video game that I still can say I love. It's all about your control.

I beg to differ.
I dunno, the community disagrees with you. And if you wind up in any sort of raiding guild, the social aspects are there and you get to know people if you aren't a hermit who doesn't chat with people.

Oh, so it can't make you anti social? If you pull out a DS in my previous school, almost everyone avoids you like a plague.

Maybe in your area, but not in every area, so she's free to differ.

Please don't double post, just edit your last post.
Don't speak for the entire community next time, either, we can speak for ourselves.

The game never made me anti-social when I played it, it's a big matter of, "To each their own".

WOW SUCKS! PLAY ON THE Nintendo Wii!

You should play either Nexon Games(Preferably Dungeon Fighter Online) or SMO (Super Mario Online).

I am a WoW addict.
During the week, I rarely play, but when it's weekend time, I play like 6-7 hours a day literally cause that's the only time I get. (I take work and school seriously.)
But I have to watch out cause my parents only let me play for like 1 hour every WEEKEND day so I have to make sure they're out of the house.
The game is REALLY fun, REALLY addictive and REALLY awesome.
But honestly, I wouldn't renew my subscription when it finishes in quite a while since I don't play in the week and am limited in the weekend = barely any gameplay = waste of money.
Whatever that was off-topic.
WoW is really fun. Join.
And if you will, come on the server called "Anachronos"

Lol..

Questing in Wow is very bland and boring you will be bored untill you hit level 80. It's also better to start playing with a friend so you can quest together if your new to the game. It can take awhile to level without heirlooms but it's way more forgiving than the other mmorpgs out there like Aion exp wise.

I have been playing for 4 years now and the game is starting to bore me! It's probably because it's the end of an expansion. I would say try the free trial see if you like it, however as I said at low level the game sucks and you will probably hate the free trial.

Also the stereotyping about Wow players is wrong! Sure you do get the odd person who will sit and play it 12 hours a day. However it's the same with every gaming device. If they weren't playing wow they would be playing something else like the ps3. I bet some people play their nds all day everyday on here.

At the people who say wow is boring and only about boring quests:

Try to play it with a few friends, all start a new character at the same time, and just have fun. Quest together, do dungeon's together, drink some beers together while you're all playing WoW in the same room on laptops/PC's, and in the end, be in a guild and raid together.
