If you want to start WoW, play a private server. You won't get as addicted and you'll get basically the same experience. Personally I've played on Molten WoW by far the best private server I've found.

I would also agree to this since I play on Molten WoW to kill time.

If you want a wow type I suggest AION really since its PvPvE and its has more of PVP style then wow. More real players then the addicted nubs you come across in official wow servers.
