Hacking Should I just update + More questions

Hello everyone.

I have my PS4 collecting a bit of dust and has PS Plus enabled, downloading games every month.
I don't use it much besides using Share Play with a friend sometimes.

Now I can't use my PC and really want to watch the Nintendo E3.
Does the Twitch app require you to update?

Should I just **** it and just update anyway, I have my modded Wii U for emus and other stuff anyway. What does the PS4 have to offer once homebrew comes out for the system?

My firmware is 4.50 or above. I don't remember and I can't check it right now. I only remember it has HDD support now so ^^

From my experience everything online except Netflix (for some reason) requires you to update. For the same reason as you, I will update my ps4 after I come home this weekend, to watch E3 as well as make use of my ps plus subscription among other things. I have both a 3ds and Wii U for any homebrew needs and on the firmware that we are/I am on nothing homebrew or exploit wise has been released.
