Thanks guys for your oppinions and such. It isn't about my homebrew at all.
I just thinking of making a "homebrew shop" website.

Here's a rough sketch of what it'd look like:
prototype

I am now thinking of cancelling it due to no interes of the public. Thanks for your comments and point of views! Appriciate it!

xD that might have ended up being either a really quiet website, or everything in the free section. Personally, I think it would just be cool to have an expanded selection for the GameUp homebrew (though the selection was wide enough that I did have to get some homebrew from there once...).

From the sounds of it though, there might have been trouble moving the money around. Of course, you could always stick with the donate button...Say that the money goes to a server holding a bunch of homebrew (wouldn't even need 15gb xD) easily accessible for all...only problem would be getting the permission from the creators to host it (I don't even think there is a way to ask the person that made DSVideo for permission)....then again, its pretty much nonprofit, which apparently goes against what you are aiming to do.

Don't worry, it probably wouldn't have gone much further than the sketch.

Roms are too easily hacked so there would be no point. You sell it once and then it will be on every torrent site in the world like my stuff already is and its free....

You can't even make money out of iphone apps as once its hacked no one will buy it.

Your not planning on selling other peoples homebrews now are you? Not without their permission? 10-for-1 pack? This **** is totally unacceptable.

Looks like he actually expected devs to pay him to sell their homebrew. And no doubt he'd have taken a slice of the profits. So basically, he cba making homebrew himself, and decides he'll charge others to sell theirs for them.

@OP: This ain't gonna work

. As for selling accessories, there's plenty of sites out there doing that already AFAIK.

With large variety and fairly decent shipping speeds/rates...Surprisingly enough, my dealextreme orders have come in quicker than I expected (although I still need one more part to fix my DS...the top screen D=). Don't say you are planning to put a flashcart pack like the one on the DSGameMaker site...not only is the flashcart an R4 clone, its even more expensive than an acekard2i.

No, but I would willingly accept donations for quicker updates. And maybe Pre-beta releases.

No, I doubt anyone would buy homebrew. Why create a survey topic when you already know the answer?
It's obvious.

Remember people, it is a poll, not a flame site.
I think it's so funny you lot' think I am in it for the money. You think I would sell other peoples homebrew? Hahaha. Some of you even thought I would charge people to sell it. Rich one.
If you're going to make a post, make it about the topic, or get the f*ck out.
Sorted?

o.0 I don't see any flaming posts on this page of the thread...maybe some that are a little bit harsh because they point out the obvious (obvious to the GBATemp community anyways...who knows about other places where the people aren't as nice as we are xD), but nothing flaming...
The current discussion is more or less tilted towards an imaginary website that would be ideal.

I actually think that a donate button would work nicely, but if I ever made something worth a donation, I'd probably think it were better to use the money for different things rather than pre-beta releases and quicker releases. Those sort of things start making it sound like "because I donated, you have to do it", rather than the original idea of the donate button xD. If anything, I think it would be best to use the donation money how the absolutezero translation team used it when Kingcom's computer fried, apart from that, maybe just investing in equipment to speed up the development process.

Uh, it says on that "prototype" that devs need a subscription to submit stuff and lists prices. So yeah, you're charging them to sell their homebrew. Proof:

You were even kind enough to highlight the bit were it mentioned the cost so I didn't have to bother.

Also all the posts are about the topic. Just because they are slagging off your idea, doesn't mean they aren't about the topic.

Lol I didn't even notice that when I was glancing at the 'prototype'...that is pretty expensive considering the fact that as it is, we are asking for a couple cents at most...the chances of paying off the cost per month purely by selling homebrew are...almost impossible xD

I'd personally say no to homebrew selling, because there is no point, it'll end up the same as any other commercial game; pirated, especially since it'll mostly be download sales, not hard copies. The best way is a donation button, or do something like this: http://www.wolfire.com/humble where the people pay anything, minimum being a cent, up to however much; in other words, the player chooses the price. They made a $million in a week. But ofcourse, they are pro indie game makers xD.
