Sorry I'm just learning about programming, but why not?
to put it simply, there is 2 processors on the wii u; one speaks in a language called "arm", this is the processor that we use for a cfw(and therefore the sd_access patch)
the other one speaks in a language called "Power PC", this is the processor that "games" run on(if its displaying to tv/gamepad its the power pc processor).because of these complexities it makes it extremely hard to do both in one app.

Ok I understand now, thanks for the explanation :)

I push a version to github which uses libfat instead of the OS FS functions. This lead to faster speed (depends on your device though) and usb support.
It requires to load mocha first (the normal version is totally fine, the sd_acces fork is NOT needed), to make use of the libfat. Otherwise it will fallback to the OS functions (=> only support in SSBU).

The code can be found here: https://github.com/Maschell/SDCafiine/tree/experimental
I added some more usage information to the readme on github. The file structure for the USB drive is exactly the same as SD. Just copy the files on it, like it is a normal SD Card and insert it into your WiiU.
Please notice that this is a VERY experimental version. It's been only tested with 2 games, and only on one console.

HAXCHI's built in CFW/CBHC CFW is NOT supported (yet?). The workarround for using libiosuhax used in for example ftpiiu everywhere break the disc reading. You'll get an "invalid disc" error, while the MCP Hook is opened. Sorry.

Here is a compiled version:
http://www120.zippyshare.com/v/lIfxT0b6/file.html
(NEW LINK. 27.08.2017)

A proper release is following when it's stable (and we know it :D)
It might fail for all other games, or just crash after 10 minuten of gameplay. I don't know. It would be cool if some people could test it, and report any issues or general feedback.

Wii Party U
Game & Wario

Test two games, all crashing.

The two games are perfect at version 1.3

Could you provide a bit more information?
Where does it crash? How does it crash? Does it display any exception screen?
Which files did you replace? How many files are you replacing? Did you try to SD or USB?
Do you have a Wii U formatted drive connected?

I used UdpDebugReader.exe to record the log
Tested four games:
  1. Wii Party U
  2. Mario Party 10
  3. MARIO KART 8
  4. Game And Wario
File into Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6rm6RJxJJ4OejZPbG8xSU9iTVU

Version 1.3 works very well
Experimental libfat version all crash

  • MOD files on SD
  • WUP game installed on USB

Sorry that my English is not good, I use Google translation to post
