Sonic Adventure 2 (XBOX 360 Ver.) — Nintendo Switch port

A native Nintendo Switch port of the Xbox 360 (Xbox Live Arcade) version of Sonic Adventure 2 (2012) using RexGlue.

60FPS with a handful of small drops in single player on certain stages, multiplayer has more drops on stock clocks. If you want to get rid of them use CPU/RAM overclock. 720p/1080p in Handheld/Docked respectively with options for MSAA disabled by default. This is heavily optimised so it's a great base to use for other RexGlue ports (hint if you have ever seen one)

Amazing!! I finally have an excuse to start a new chao garden 😉 (not that I needed it). Thank you so much!

Edit: Played through the entire game and it runs very well on stock clock speeds with just a few dips in framerate at places like Aquatic Mine, the chao races, and some other places with a lot going on. I also noticed after playing for extended periods the game slowly starts having problems rendering. Started with some glitchy shadow textures, then at Hidden Base some of the level geometry or objects and enemies were completely missing or entirely blacked out. Closing/Reopening the app fixed this but the longer you play the worse it gets. It only happened 4 or 5 times out of my 9 hour playthrough & made for some funny moments and screen shots lol :rofl2:Other than that it plays beautifully! Thank you again!

Is an update from 1.0 just swap .nro files?
Yeah that's correct.

I have a feeling this glitch will be a tough nut to crack but I will try to fix it. NFSMW is also impacted similarly by the same "memory exhaustion/leak" bug.

@simplepsyduck test 1.0.2 for me and others test as well see if you get visual corruption anymore after long play sessions https://github.com/ChanseyIsTheBest/sa2-nx/releases/tag/v1.0.2

The issue persists I'm afraid :( I've been testing on and off all day but after about 3-4 hours of gameplay it started not rendering correctly just like before. I also had a full crash mid level about an hour after restarting from the render issue. That could be unrelated to the game itself, but I'll include the crash log anyways... I can however confirm that the random glitching shadows have been fixed since 1.0.1 👍

Also, @JuanPaOwO , @jeferey , and anyone else interested in Sonic Adventure 1, I highly recommend checking out the Dreamcast image builder and applying the 60fps and widescreen patches for the DC version and then use flycast to play it. You'll have to increase the SH4 clock in flycast to 300 MHz to help reduce stuttering but this is by far the best experience for Sonic Adventure 1 on switch imo. :yayswitch:

Could you try this build please. I think this may solve the issue. Sorry about all the testing. Also the game makes it's own rex crash logs files in its directory so give them to me please.

Hopefully, someone will be willing to port Shank 1 and Shank 2 from Xbox 360 to the Nintendo Switch.

This build fixed the issue!! I was able to complete all 3 stories and spent a lot of time in the chao garden without any glitching textures or bad rendering. I also uploaded the rex crash log I had from that earlier crash so I hope that is useful to you & feel free to let me know if a new build needs testing, I'm always happy to help especially when it involves playing one of my all time favorite games :D
