no, any sd card will work as long as you are on firmware 4.0+. Anything lower, and only cards 2gb and smaller will work.

Wow and you know alot about reading comprehension. What he said was true, if not phrased very well. Look again and re-read it, he says anything with systemmenu 4.0 and higher will support any SD card, anything with firmwares less than 4.0 is not.
