I have "the unavowed" installed on my PC. i copied the folder from steam and put it on my sd card.
Ran the newest version of scummvm from the official homepage, and tried to add the game to the game list, but it doesnt recognise it as a game it can play. This also happened with another AGS game.
How do you add AGS games?

Just tried the "a6adf604" snapshot, put the only game I bought (Technobabylon, GOG version), Scummvm recognized it and launched it (BTW, it runs extremely slowly, nearly unplayable...except if you like bullet-time gameplay )
AGS support is not yet included in release builds. You'll need to download a nightly build instead if you want to play AGS games. Make sure to use the build marked "ScummVM latest". Edit: @Badablek beat me to it.
