Kojima Productions shares development updates on 'OD' and reveals lead cast for 'Physint'
During the XBOX Tokyo Game Show 2026 Broadcast, Hideo Kojima, founder of Kojima Productions, shared some updates on its upcoming games. The first is the horror game OD, featuring Sophia Lillis and Hunter Schafer, and development - which is done in collaboration with XBOX - is said to be progressing smoothly. Its production is proceeding on schedule, with performance capture and ADR recording having resumed this year, following a pause during the SAG strike.
The next update was about Physint, which marks Kojima's return to the stealth genre. As recently reported, the game will now be published by XBOX after PlayStation stepped away from the project. Last year, the developer announced that Charlee Fraser, Don Lee and Minami Hamabe will join the cast. Today, the lead cast member was revealed: Bill Skarsgård.
“I'm delighted to confirm the lead role for PHYSINT will be Bill Skarsgård,” said Hideo Kojima. “We are both long-time fans of each other’s work, and we've decided to embark on this new adventure together. The costume fittings, scans, and camera tests we conducted with Bill and Charlee earlier this year gave me tremendous confidence in the direction of the project.”
Release and platform details for OD and Physint have not been revealed, but we will likely have to wait a few years until we can play these new games.
