Gaming Scribblenauts Hype and News Thread

Lol. I bet that could happen in a custom stage.

An object editor for custom stages would be awesome, even if it would only be for people, tools/weapons, and scenery. Especially if it had a skeletal animation editor for it. Anyone else notice that the scribblenauts team likes skeletal animation? I wonder if the drawn to life guy would appear if you wrote mannequin and then painted it then brought it to life somehow. How would you bring something to life in this? Would god bring it to life? Or would "life" bring it to life? I imagine life would be (A) a random living thing, (B) a petri dish, or © the primordial soup. What would "hero" make? What about quantum jumping? Super powers? What would gamma rays do, anyway? What about tetromino? Would arc welder make a usable welder? So many questions... I won't be able to put this game down for weeks! Especially with my list... What about cloning? could we put a tetromino in a cloning device, use a piston to move it back and forth and play tetris with it? What about a skill crane? That would be awesome!

Ok if anything I think has a 90% chance of being in the game is cloning.
For a game as quirky as this we KNOW that super heros and cloning will be in there. What about the errors in cloning, like when it makes a chimera in movies? Chimera would be seriously awesome. I wonder if a barber would change Maxwell's hair. Customizable characters would be an interesting aspect in this game. I wonder if something like barber shop, or costume shop would be enterable, if it's even in the game.

My own object (if creatable) will be shoop da whoop (if not already there) and you have to wear it as a mask/weapon and it will make allies run and baddies get lazar'd.

Go back in time a few years and go to /b/ and MAYBE this will be funny.

Scribblenauts gets E10+ rating

Scribblenauts
Platform: Nintendo DS
Rating: Everyone 10+
Content descriptors: Cartoon Violence, Comic Mischief

Rating summary: This is a puzzle game in which players navigate a series of traps, puzzles, and enemies to collect stars scattered throughout the colorful levels. Players have the ability to summon different objects by writing/typing in the word (e.g., bike, spaceship, lion) and watching it come to life. If multiple words are entered in a sequence, different whimsical scenarios can be triggered: a bicycle can be used to jump over a baby; a bulldozer can clear away a shark; and cabbage can be fed to dinosaurs. Players can elect to summon "cartoony" versions of bats, bombs, guns, and flamethrowers. These types of items can be used to destroy objects or even other summoned items (e.g., a club can be used to hit an animal; steak can be attached to a baby to attract lions; rockets can be lobbed at a man). These triggered animations are minimally depicted and are usually accompanied by popping, musical sound effects; bright, star-shaped flashes; or small puffs of smoke. If players wish to, they may type in the word vomit, which causes a beige-colored lump to appear on the screen.

Lmao

I will personally give a hand job to the first person to dump a review copy of scribblenauts.

I heard that is a very common currency in some areas.

I have a feeling that some one will crack the dump of this game to add some kind of adult dictionary. The official game devs can't do this but they know some one else can do that and get away with it, mwuhahaha.

Regardless, I think this is one worth buying.

Say hello to dildo sword!

Anyway, when it comes out, I want any of these to be written:

Post 217 (dinosaur, time machine, etc)
Billy Mays (it includes people, right? HI BILLY MAYS HERE FOR SCRIBBLENAUTS!)
Michael Jackson (Michael Jackon's Moonwalker all over again)
Exit/End (easy way out)
Shingeru Miyamoto (if you're stuck, summon him to create a lame "skip any level" feature to get through it!)
Roflcopter (definately)
Keyboard Cat (trust me, it will summon a keyboard cat)
Rickroll (NEVER GONNA SCRIBBLENAUTS!)
Clint Eastwood (adds approximately 200% more badass to the game)

That's only a handful.
