Hardware Screen stopped working.

I replaced the screen. That fixed everything. Thanks to SmileCitrus for posting the eBay link, cause that's the one I used. Also thanks to Julialy for reviving the thread and asking about the sound. And you too, Jonthedit, for telling me to make a video. The responses were hilarious.

That's soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo weird. Why the same time as the update...?

Well if the screen was going to crap out soon anyway, maybe it isn't too surprising it happened during or immediately after the update, since the update is the whole reason I turned on the system. That could be the explanation.

believe it or not my system just did the same thing after 9.0! I will post pics/vid!

Perhaps it has to do with a missing top screen.
