How's this compared to TICO's dreamcast anyone compared them?

There's a setting called transparent sorting, and you can pick between three options: per triangle, per strip and per pixel. Per pixel is the most accurate, and if you select it in the standalone Flycast, an additional setting will appear, letting you change the amount of maximum layers, which can improve performance for some games. In tico and Retroarch there is no maximum layers setting, meaning that when selecting per pixel the games will always look as best as possible, but performance may not be as good. And while per pixel is not mandatory for all games, some will look bad without it, for example, in Sonic Adventure, Sonic's hands will look messed up, and in Daytona USA your car will be missing some textures.

TLDR: tico's Flycast and the standalone version perform the same, but some games look better in the standalone version.

I really like this emulator on switch
The only thing I miss is that the forwarders don't work with it.
Naomi's hokuto no ken performance is also unstable
But through it I finished the undub berserk. Excellent game, I don't understand those who say that its gameplay is bad. It's a hack n slash from before dmc, when there wasn't that much reference in the genre

This is half correct, it’s true about transparent sorting and how some games might look better/different on standalone flycast.

But what you fail to say is, the Tico has Vulkan and that makes a huge difference is some games. One big example is MVC2, try playing that on Standalone and no matter the settings you use, it’s has so many slowdowns that it’s unplayable. But since Tico has Vulkan, it’s fullspeed. There’s other games but that’s one of the games as an example.

Tico has Vulkan so in certain games it has way better performance. MVC2 is a great example, try playing that game on Standalone, with all the slowdowns, it’s pretty much unplayable. Play MVC2 on Tico, and it’s 60fps with zero slowdowns.
