Hacking SCDSOne Vs AceKard 2

Yeah its another of flash cart A Vs flash cart b thread.

I currently have a DSTT which my friend wants to buy, so i was looking to get a SCDSOne but the AceKard 2 was announced.
I'm thinking to get either one of them from psxboy,gameyeeah or bamboo gaming which ever one has it it stock.

PS:Is psxboy a reliable site to buy from?

Acekard 2 is a budget card. SCDS1 is one of the most feature-packed cards on the market second only to CycloDS Evolution.

I just ordered the acekard 2 from bamboogaming.com.

My reasons:

quicker louding on startup (from looking at youtube videos)
I also like the UI better than supercard
shouldn't be so picky with microSD speed (setting microSD speed should be automated IMO)
I saw a youtube video with the 3in1 working with acekard, not sure if it works with supercard.

One feature I know supercard has over acekard 2 is realtime saving.

They fixed that ages ago.
The only thing left to fix on the SCDS is the shitty GUI.
Especially that of the real time features.

Got a XenoGC chip from them earlier this week, which arrived in a little over one week from order placement to delivery. That's all I've ordered from them, but it went smoothly.

I agree with you there lol but it works. SCDS1 would utterly destroy the Acekard 2

Supercard wins.

Acekard 2 had a problem with castlevania, even with a Kingston card (Japan) apparently. Yes, it does load quicker, but it can't really do very much. Its sole purpose

is to play games.

Supercard is full of features like Realtime saving, Realtime guide, and slow-mo (If you set everything up, and download the extras for this), and a few others. My

Castlenvania works with a Sandisk card. Also, it has perfect download play (They've fixed it a long time ago), and so far, no problems. Lastly, you don't need to

mess with the card speed, because it's already set up. You can change it if you want, but that's how it is.

In my opinion, Supercard DS1 SDHC utterly obliterates the Acekard 2.

Seems like ill be getting a SCDSOne from psxboy for $36US shipped.
Does anyone know a better deal than that?

EDIT:An update on the SCDS1 review would be nice. The review seems to be really outdated.

Considering the relatively high price for a supposed budget card(Acekard 2), I'd go for the SCDS1 SDHC. It has the features, and as others have said is really only second to the Evolution. (I own both!) Also, Supercard has a proven track record of supporting their products, whereas I'd still call Acekard questionable.

Now, if the Acekard 2 had been another $25 card, I'd've said go for it, but at c. $40 I don't think so.

Good choice. Dealextreme has them for $35.28 US with free shipping if you can stand to wait, although since you're apparently in Australia I'd presume that shipping would be quicker than to the US...

btw psxboy is more reliable they offer better service & orders will ship as soon as nextday while with dx you wait sometimes weeks if not months,this is why i always go to psxboy.
