As the topic states, does anyone know if the PCB will have teeth covering it like the older versions of the SCDS1 or if it will not like the SCDS1i? Sorry if this has been asked/answered.

?_? you mean like a real DS game?

That is not what I wanted to hear, but what I expected. We will see once its out. Thanks for the reply.

I suppose it doesnt matter, but I think it looks better. Also, I have a CycloDS and a DSTT, both of which have teeth, and I have never had a connectivity issue. I have heard some people have problems with carts that dont have teeth. Also, for the reply about a copyright issue with the teeth. I dont think that would be a problem as the carts are mostly all made in China and China follows no copyright laws. I think it is likely easier to build carts without.

I prefer carts without the teeth, I have removed the teeth from some of my carts for the simple reason that if you do get contact issues it is usually because of unclean contacts which is very easily fixable by giving the contacts a good rub with a pencil eraser. You can't do that if the cart has teeth.

I like carts having teeth. My contacts are fine but if not you could just use something thin.

.......Carts have teeth?

I don't understand.

I also prefer the teeth, my Edge has teeth and it just looks neater compared to my M3i0 and to be perfectly honest I have never had a contact issue and it makes the card sturdier and look nicer. I hope it at least has some teeth if not a full set

Look at your retail DS cards and/or flashcart(s). The plastic lines along the bottom (on the only exposed area of the cards) are the teeth.

Thanks for the eraser idea. With some handy trimming of a big eraser, I was able to clean the contacts completely on my CycloDS. Not that it needed it, its now clean.
