Hardware Saving Games

I have just purchased a second hand 360 which didn't have a memory pack or hard drive, am I able just to plug in a usb stick to save my games?

Thats what I found.

Yes, you can use a USB stick but it will be formatted for use on the 360 only, you won't be able to use it to store other files at the same time.
