I don't have a DDR mat, will the active life outdoor challenge mat suffice?

Well, its not for gamecube, so im not sure.
It wouldn't hurt to try though, right?

Hi,

I've been floating around here for several months and finally decided to register and try contribute.

On topic:

Is there any way to get the button/key IDs for the GC controller buttons and create a .dol that starts up with those ID's set to "pressed'?

I realise that if you can launch a .dol you wouldn't need to do that, but i'm inquisitive.

I'm thinking that with Forsaekn's cSM and the inevitable BootMii it might be possible to make a module that could do this upon boot without the need for a physical pad.

SO if you Brick your wii cant you send to the BIG N and have them repair it as last resort...

Also if you downgrade will it show in system or does it still show 3.3u say i downgraded to 3.2 whats shows as your firmware?

so this resets the firmware?
lol no, it accesses the nintendo recovory menu, it can be used to recover from region bricks and stuff

as in the one that nintendo would use to fix your wii if you sent it to them?

EDIT am i also to understand that you need a modchip when on 3.2(E/U/J) to fix a banner brick?

ALSO once you install starfall, loader etc can you update to 3.4 with the loader and starfall still working once you've installed them?

FINALLY (lol) what about wads now? if the 3.4 update doesnt let you use wads anymore does that mean no more VC? or can you just use the custom wad manager on IOS16? (is it 16 or 36? i cant remember, its some other IOS anyways lol)

so when the number of the firmware apears in the lower right corner that's savemii? Hm thank god this happaned to me 3 days ago when i was playing wario on the wii then i restarted the wii and for some weird reason this showed up so nothing else worked then i unpluged it and it worked like always was scared like hell. thank god now i know what that was

Hmm, is there a way to boot up a Wii game through SaveMiiFrii without starfire?

Yes, but not an original disc. You need to have a backup and flag it as autoboot. (and, of course, you need a mod chip to read that backup).

After a couple hours trying that savemefrii method, I GOT INTO RECOVERY MODE!
You really have to make sure, that the rubber thingy inside the torn apart gc-pad lies direct over the contacts before you push them down.
As I have the healthscreen patched away with Starfall it was quite a torture to find the right time to press all directions.
But finally I did it!

Top man wiishizzza
Having the Health patched caused a bit of topple shit then didn't it lol
i new it wouldn't help you in"small ways" lol

I do agree it's convenient having it patched, but for easier use in bricking purposes, keep it on

absolutely right!
After my unbrick success, I set up starfall correctly.
Putting back in the health screen, the recovery menu on Y and the diag patch!

But now I think I'll get me a modchip anyway.

I knew the Health patch causes "small problems" i was talking to a few wii techs a while ago about it, even though you can recover the same with it patched, its allot more easier having the patch left uninstalled as it delays the wii for a good while before boot up
wink2.gif

That's why i never install the patch..
Yeah i'd say get a modchip like, autoboot the likes of manager OHYESS nice n easy does it lol no manual messing about with the TP Hack hehe obviously 3.2 im talking about boys n girls!
Allot of you thought i was full of shit...(right in ways, but wishizzza has agreed the patch caused problems) ohwell hehe

You're right. it's much easier.
I'm sure at least now, everybody should know this.

Your and the other mates posts were a great help!
thx for helping me out.

No problem matey, hey GUESS MANY OF YOU WILL BE UNINSTALLING THAT GOD DAM PATCH! hehe
especially if you really do mess about with wads...allot!

no doubt about it
-Also now I got the right timing to press all the directions even without the health screen

BOOYAKASHA
Was it you with the Da system files are corrupt? i'm dam sure it was you, or was it wiicrazy? hmm i've forgot and lost now lol...is that the wii you unbricked awel?

I just had a brick cos of a bad banner, I guess...
...I don't know exactly, cos of the health screen patched away I didn't see any text only blank screen.
I assume it was a banner brick, cos loading wadmanager using TP-Hack did the unbrick.
Didn't have to install another system menu.
