backup and rename the save to a folder
1.sav to 1.sav00, 1.sav01, 1.sav02, etc
or user use keyboard rename it

when restore the save
backup the save and restore the save you choose

so i can save different game stage in my sd card
and make different save for different people, if the game only provide one game save, like pokemon, mario kart, etc

simply, it is a file manager
for delete, move, copy, rename

i don't know any program language, anyone can help ??

please develop one

A batch file could do what you ask, I have not the time to make a full featured "program" so here are the basics:

"Backup basic":

rename *.sav *.sav00
pause

You might consider adding a mkdir old and a copy *.sav00 old\ line in there to make a directory in whatever directory you run this and copy stuff into it.

You could then use xcopy ( http://www.computerhope.com/xcopyhlp.htm ) to do some more interesting things (like overwrite only existing files and such.

A restore file would just be making a directory, moving the "new" saves across and renaming the old ones).

Note also that I was not using hard coded directories so you will have to copy the batch file to the directory of your saves, my only problem with hardcoded stuff is the stuff has to be the same every time which can frustrate when using USB readers (I have loads of different readers and virtual drives which means my memory cards hardly ever get assigned a consistent name.


Have a go at making a batch file yourself (only test it on junk or stuff that is backed up though) and see what you come up with. Post it back here if you want me to debug it and or suggest improvements/expansions for it (the ones I have suggested so far are very basic, a simple expansion would be using a variable for the file extensions).

flashcard do not run *.bat file

so it require to make a nds file
but i don't know any arm7 and arm9

i suggest that is for outdoor
and user rarely use their usb for just backup save
or change to other people's save (a bit trouble)

My bad, I thought you wanted a PC side app. In that case it makes things a bit more complex.

Wonder if DSlinux can make a script (DSLua does not seem to have abilities).

i wrote a batch for my backups.
is there any way that whenever i plug my USB card, it runs my backup automatically? (with a hookup or something)

I do not know much about autoruns as I disable them (I am not normally one for major security but this is the exception).
