Are you using the PAL versions? Generally these have borders as standard. If so maybe try the US or JAP versions?I can't get a proper widescreen no matter how many times I use guardian force.I changed the.ini file every which way and still have bars.the closest I got is were three was just a black bar on the top.really annoying.I give up with this widescreen!!!it doesn't work properly!!! live used the script over and over widescreen set to 1 or 0 the settings you can't get the full screen filled in or maybe its just castlevanias messed up
Are you using Tinfoil? If so switch to DBI and it will almost definitely work. I've not looked at the logs. Will leave for @shadow256Am having a bit of a problem with Ultimate Switch Hack Script Saturn injection, I was able to create one inject (albert odyssey) but any other game I try to inject creates a NSP that boots to a black screen (it just stays at a black screen) and when I close the game (Home + X + Exit) it gives me an error. I used exactly the same options as my first and successful inject.
Here the log from my last inject attempt.
Ignore this- Castlevania is obviously jap onlyAre you using the PAL versions? Generally these have borders as standard. If so maybe try the US or JAP versions?
Tbh I haven't bothered trying to get full screen. I'm happy enough as is.
Honestly when it comes down to it, Saturn games just weren't designed for widescreen. Play 4:3 with boarders and save your time.I can't get a proper widescreen no matter how many times I use guardian force.I changed the.ini file every which way and still have bars.the closest I got is were three was just a black bar on the top.really annoying.I give up with this widescreen!!!it doesn't work properly!!! live used the script over and over widescreen set to 1 or 0 the settings you can't get the full screen filled in or maybe its just castlevanias messed up
I can't be the first one asking this.....
But has anybody created a compiled tutorial on how to get these Saturn games to run on the Switch?....without having to go through 78 pages on here and piecing together the information? As in, starting from scratch with an already CFW Switch.
I have Cotton 1 and 2 installed on the Switch
I mean, there's a lot of information on here, but it changes all the time and etc....
It would be mucho helpful...

I actually have that game.I got it because of the rondo of blood remake.havent played my psp in years.it's very strange weigh the widescreen issue.I don't get the romfs folders when I install the guardian force because I'm still using firmware 12xx.everything still works on that for me except these saturn conversions.the game plays fine but the display is messed up.I know if you on fw 13xx out creates the romfs folder in the contents folder.ive just been straight injecting the game of choice into guardian force using the script and just installing the game once it's finished then I open settings and select max screen but there was another Japanese gameI tried that did display full screen with widescreen set to 1 so maybe it's just castlevania thats messed up.also the other game didn't work to well it was kinda glitchy.I also experience the same with the Saturn version. The widescreen looks ugly to me. However, I have a proposition for you. If you want the Saturn version just for Maria, there is the PSP version which is a little different from Saturn (PSP is the PS4 remaster). If you get PPSSPP and the dracula X chronicles, you can load cheats to unlock SotN and widescreen hack it (with cheats.db). It looks much better. But it has audio slowdown, so you have to overclock the switch past 1300 (not a problem with sys clk). Also options to change framerate, resolution, etc. If you're interested I can help you more.
I've looked to the log file and the problem could be that you have chosen the texture file for the no_data section.Am having a bit of a problem with Ultimate Switch Hack Script Saturn injection, I was able to create one inject (albert odyssey) but any other game I try to inject creates a NSP that boots to a black screen (it just stays at a black screen) and when I close the game (Home + X + Exit) it gives me an error. I had the same issue with translated games I downloaded from a certain website. I found out that the bin/cue files were in mode1/2048 format when they should be in mode1/2352. I used CDmage app included in USHS to convert the files and it was able to boot up properly.Am having a bit of a problem with Ultimate Switch Hack Script Saturn injection, I was able to create one inject (albert odyssey) but any other game I try to inject creates a NSP that boots to a black screen (it just stays at a black screen) and when I close the game (Home + X + Exit) it gives me an error.
