Hacking Safe to use virtual console on modded Wii?

I was just wondering if it's safe for me to buy games and use virtual console on a modded Wii?

Yep. Just ignore any system update requests. If you don't have Priiloader you should install it and enable the update block hacks.

If you haven't updated the Wii's Shopping Channel since Nov. 2012 then you'll want to download and install the RVL-Shopping-v21.zip.

In it you should find 2 wads...
- IOS62-64-6430.wad
- RVL-Shopping-v21.wad

You should also make sure you have Priiloader installed and that you block online updates.

Last time I went in there I know I was able to download FREE apps like Netflix and Youtube.. but I'm not sure if you're still able to make Virtual Console purchases. I thought Nintendo shut all that down when they shut down their WFC servers.

You can still buy stuff. The ticket system is still working, just not the game connection service.

There's even a recent CrunchyRoll WiiWare title.
