Hacking Running WAD files by using USB ??

Hi..
I am wondering is this possible? And if it is, what is difference if we compare it to procedure with SD card??
I have 4GB SD card which is too big so Wii doesn't recognize it..
My Wii have WASP mod chip and i have Homebrew Channel.. Though i am not sure does it work since it doesn't show up anythng only bubbles

u need homebrew apps on a hdd or the sd card for it to work =] hence why its just showing bubbles

And for Trucha Bug Restorer, do i need only Homebrew Channel so that my Wii recognize it or anything else too??
