Rumor: New Street Fighter IV Info "Maybe Monday"

Street Fighter fans are on tenterhooks, convinced these pics show fragments of a Super Street Fighter IV screen and logo. One hit up Capcom's Twitter to ask if any news was coming this weekend. The reply: "no. but mebbe monday."

Stoking the fire is that pic above from GamePro Germany. It's captioned as "Yoshinori Ono with some other guy, but if you look a little closer in the background, you can see T. Hawk in his Street Fighter 4 form." Then, if you look down by Some Other Guy's leg, you see a piece of the Street FIghter logo superimposed over a giant "S." Fans take that to mean it's the Super Street Fighter IV logo, and thus something is gonna be announced very soon.

Remember, the Japanese official Street Fighter IV blog has said for a couple weeks now that news was on the way, which some figured was news of a sequel or other iteration.

I've emailed Seth Killian to ask if mebbe he can shed more light on it. I'm not sure I'll get a reply, as he's likely either still in Japan or flying back. But if we hear anything more it will be updated here. Mebbe.

Capcom US said information on a possible Street Fighter IV update was coming "mebbe Monday". Looks like they were off by a day.

A teaser website has appeared on Capcom's Japanese portal, with the site's URL seemingly promising a "new warrior" while the site itself gives the date 2009.09.29 17:00 JST, presumably for said warrior's reveal. That's Tuesday, September 29, at 5pm Japan time, meaning those in the US or Europe will need to wait until they wake up on Tuesday morning to see what's going on.

Wow, if that`s a fake it is a pretty good one! And I think the pic in the first post pretty much confirms SUPERStreetFighterIV with at least the addition of T.Hawk.
Maybe they just include every past and some new DLC on one disc for people, who are about to purchase SFIV and for those, who already own the game, there should be as seperate DLC... I think that wouldn`t be a bad idea!

i think it maybe fake because the portrait pic looks like the 1 from 3rd stike and isnt the same art style as sf3 if im wrong and i hope am because dudly was one of my fav chreacter il be happy just as long as it a dlc

I hope it doesn't drag on like that... With the amount of SFs they have, they probably could've numbered them off and had as many Final Fantasies.

Kind of glad this game is going to be budget price, for a game that's already out with new content. I wonder what you get if you keep the original Street Fighter IV game like Capcom said.
