SSFIV: AE ver. 2012 is a free update, not a new game.
So before you bawww about it, it's free.
Also, please don't bring up MML3. It's done and over.
I actually wasn't about to. You only assumed that I was going to because Capcom was involved. Also that is why I added a question mark beside it. I didnt know all the details, I just went by what I saw on there and their source.
If I'm not wrong capcom is split into various departments and the departments can do whatever they wish right?
Well, I won't really mind a new game, but as long not as 'similar' to the old
Actually that was just a general message to people who will comment in the future, not you. Anything that's within six degrees of Capcom lately seems to be some big MML3 cry-fest and people would surely begin crying if they thought ver. 2012 was a paid update.
It was more of a disclaimer to future posts, not a comment towards you
Where in the very short article does it say free? I see the words update but the word free is no where near it. Unless your taking the word of some random comment a few comments down? But he doesn't post proof either.
Yes, you won't be asked to pay a dime for this latest round of rebalancing, which is set to come out either this fall or winter, according to what Capcom's Seth Killian said on Twitter. Of course, at this point, we don't actually know the specifics on what changes it will implement, but knowing it won't cost any money -- unlike Super Street Fighter IV and the subsequent Arcade Edition releases -- is one of the more important details. We should know more in the next two months, as Famitsu reports that certain gamers in Japan will get a chance to try out the changes by summer's end. [/p]
Ok... my bad. Its just so damn hard to distance myself from the other MM fans that are gonna cry when Capcom is going to announce a move that isn't MM related. You can only help them move on so much...
Oh well. I didn't even know there was a Street Fighter 3 until I watched the EVO stream this past weekend... I thought Alpha was considered 3! lol (Don't shoot me.)
EDIT: @Guild: Mind if I add your quote to the OP?
Go ahead, I was gonna add it myself if people kept having misconceptions about pricing. But by all means, go ahead.
Thanks. Now if they could only make the free update for every version, effectively turning all previous SF4 releases into SSF4 AE we all be happy. But hey we know crapcom doesn't like making their costumers happy.
Thanks... trying to get to your level. I'll get there one day.
Well, that's a bit of a stretch as Arcade Edition is DLC. Expecting them to fork it out for free is expecting too much.
Any edition of SSFIV AE (including copes of SSFIV that downloaded AE as DLC) should be able to update to the 2012 version for free. Odds are even regular copies of SSFIV will get the update so they can play against regular AE users with all the balancing stuff in there.
They're probably just looking to nerf Yun, Yang, and Oni...
Crapcom is just gonna milk this stupid SSFIV. Atleast release something half-decent?? SSFIV is fun for a short run, in the long run it's bullcrap.
Can we get a NEW game, Capcom?
It's not even a new game, it's just a update.
Sorry, too busy playing the superior KOF13.
personally I'd rather be nickel and dimed with the same game for 5 years than purchase an entire new game every year or so... Keep asking for new games and it will turn into Madden...
Street Fighter 1987
Street fighter II 1991
Street Fighter III 1997
Street Fighter IV 2008
Does anyone really think we'll see a Street Fighter V before 2013?
TBH I`m still mostly looking forward to the upcoming 3rd Strike: OE. I always thought SFIII is overall the best SF game. So really I don`t think they need to make a whole new SF game til 2013...
I also found it very good how they handled the release of SSFIV:AE (wow, what a name!), since it good a disc- and dlc-release, so they weren`t really forcing the people to buy the game all over again if they don`t choose to! I think they should have done the same thing with UMvsC3, since the whole Fukushima-argument is bullshit and they are really kidding themself if they think anyone buys that...
