Hacking Roms working on Emulator but not on Dstt

Hi,
I have a dstt with the latest firmware [v1.17 Kernel].
All roms i have put on it since i got it 2-3 years ago work, until i downloaded some of the newer roms (Lego Harry potter years 1-4, Call of Duty Blackops etc)
These roms do not currently work on my dstt card and when I try to load them the load bar turns blue, gets to about halfway and just doesn't finish.
I noticed that these roms when downloaded did not come in a zip folder but just a .rar file which i renamed to .nds. Also they are irregular file sizes e.g 60.54 mb unlike the other working roms which are 32.0mb 16.0mb etc. Lastly the non working roms display a blue ttds image in the menu where as the working ones display an image.
However the newer roms while "unworking" on the dstt card work perfectly on a DS emulator (DeSmuME) on the computer so they are obviously good files.
Does anybody know if it is possible to make these roms work on my dstt card aswell, not just the emulator, and if so how???

LOL nice story

1.open the rar file and extract the games to your desktop then to your games folder on the micro sd.

2.download this http://filetrip.net/f23604-RetroGameFan-Mu...-6-45.html(THIS IS VITAL FOR NEW GAMES TO WORK.)

3.extract the ttmenu and ttmenu.dat to your desktop and put them into your root of the sd cart overite the old files.

4. safely remove usb.

5.find new games here http://www.ds-scene.net/?s=releases

6.remove your rom links before you get banned.

I downloaded the file but it is a .rar file and I don't know what to do with it????

Better comprestion with 7Zip - i don't know whay people don't use it more them rar.... XD!
