Hi, i just got my DSTT today and tried it out on the new game New Super Mario Bros.
However it takes 2min to load the game, now i looked around and i know it has to be added in the infolib.dat.
But how do i know/check if that game is added?
And do i have to input the name of the game in a certain way? Or will it automaticly detect that that is the game that needs to be 'fixed'?

I used the files from http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=181996
and the infolib from http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=164807
also savelib but i didn't got that far.

Is there anyone who knows why or how to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

you put the infolib in your TTMenu.

infolib.dat is the file that makes roms load faster.

use this website to get your infolib. that topic is really old.

http://sites.google.com/site/weeklyinfolib/

or this website. [it may be in japanese, but they still work. I use them too.]

http://loda.jp/dsm/

just download the file that says TTMenu blah blah infolib.

First of all thanks for the fast answer.

And i did download it from the site you mentioned cause its listed in that thread i linked you.
So i am using that infolib and it is placed under the TTMenu folder indeed.

Could it be a wrong or faulty rom?
It does load btw just takes minutes for it to load...

Thanks in advance.

ok well i just tried mario kart DS and that loads fast in about 2 seconds...
btw i have roms the size of 20/30Mb and roms the size of 130Mb
but those contain some name with xeno are those patched?
Or can i use the 20/30 ones to?

srry for all the questions =s

New Super mario Bros(size 30Mb) = 2min
Bowsers Inside story (size 130Mb) = 2min
Mario Kart(size 30Mb) = 2sec

"Xeno" after the game's name usually mean the rom was dumped by the Xenophobia team, and doesn't indicate something wrong. I would suggest getting another NSMB rom from a different source and seeing if that loads as it should (in about 2 seconds).

ok so i have tried to download 2 other games (same game, other site) and they still take ages.
Do we have to keep the number infront of the game? cause i always remove that from the name.
I rename '0434 - New Super Mario Bros (U)(pSyDS)' to 'New Super Mario Bros' cause it looks nicer that way to me.

I don't know what else could be the problem i downloaded the latest infolib.

thanks in advance

I already did, cause that was stated in the original post also.

Pff this is strange...
i tried : new super mario bros, bowsers inside story, pokemon platinum & wwe smackdown vs raw
all take ages but mario kart DS launches fine without lagg... =/

Sorry but all your tread are not ok.

The problem is because someone sold you defective or cheap microsdhc

i bought 15 4gb microsdhc kingston and all were slow.

I returned them, i find a sandisk 4gb supplier and my problem was resolved, no needs files .datlib.

i am very sure of that at 100%

send an email to this sandisk supplier from China, you will have the better price on market :creatworld [[email protected]] near 10$ usd/each

I did all that guys i have the latestinfolib...
And i'm using a kingston 2GB card since thats the card people recommended me was best lol...

Im getting one later today, i'll let you know how it worked out ^^.
It seems the really older games from DS run without lag.
But perhaps thats because it didnt need a patch then...

Ok well i bought a new microsd card and it works now.
I recommend people not using kingston card since thats the one i bought first.
Strange is that the vendor i bought it from sold the DSTT&kingston combined.
auhwell got instead of the 2gb a 4gb and working card now so i'm happy.

Thanks everyone for the help!

MicroSD cards that come in bundle packs like that are typically the cheapest cards you can get... not the most compatible.

Do you mind me asking if your Kingston card has a manufactuering location stamped on it, or do you remember seeing one on the box?
It should be China / Taiwan / Japan.

Some DSTT like DSTT Advance can have some "slow" problem to load a game...
its because the hardware...

And be careful about the microSD you use a lot a very very slow and bad!
(90% of kingston and sandisk are fake and slow...)

It says its from Taiwan and it wasnt in a box or something the sdcard itself says Taiwan somewhere,
the dstt was like this
dstt_new_packing.jpg

& the kingston was added like this
MICRO%20sd.jpg

kingston wasnt even wrapped up in its original contents just the plastic little box added to the DSTT.

Just adding a quick post to note that this is a common problem discussed, apparently.
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=203588
is just one of the earlier threads detailing this issue and it seems everyone else is having it with just this brand and manufacturing of the microsd. I wish I had found this thread earlier.

I think sd cards that come in only a plastic case are a sure sign of fakes or refurbished??
