ROM Hack ROMs in .rar ? Is this safe?

Some games i didn't find on my usual source so i found another one, but the files there are all in .rar (on all hoster (like megaupload). Is this safe? And bad thing about is, it's splitted in parts. I mean, why does someone upload something in .rar and not .zip ?

Do you know, how i can make one file ?

it is normal as they are splitted.

.rar is just as good as .zip, just use 7zip to extract them.

split rars are how they are released on the scene

Just extract the .rar file.

Just choose to extract any 1 of the parts, the rest will compile itself.
