Homebrew Rom/Wad Strange beavhior

Can anyone explain why before all of my actual ROMS/WADS is a list of files with every rom name but it starts with ._ and if i try to open the ._ file it doesn't work. I want to get rid of this list (._) cause it is a pain and its useless. This happens on all of my emulators...

Example:

._Super Mario Brothers (wont open)
... (whole list of those type of games then below)

Super Mario Brothers (opens)

its cause you are on a mac. when macs access drives not formatted to hfs the add the ._ files for metadata. to show those files on your mac open a terminal and type this:

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE
killall Finder

that will let those files show up you should be able to delete them then

I'm gonna take a guess here... your on a Mac...

Mac's will add the ._ to alot of files (google ._DS Store)

get a better OS, such as, oh, I don't know... something that has more than 0.5% market share!
