Retropie wont load games

I seem to have a strange issue running Retropie. I have tried playing SNES, NES, GBA and Mega Drive games on it. Only SNES games will play. If I play a game on another system it will display the loading screen then return to the previous screen listing all the ROMs on my SD card. I am using a Raspberry Pi 4 with 4GB of RAM and a genuine 64GB Sandisk micro SD card. It has a camera module v2 attached to it. I am using Retropie 4.6 and checked that the MD5 sums match. I installed Retropie using Etcher. I have tried formatting my SD card and reinstalling Retropie.

Check the runcommand.log, and see if there's any major error popping up after you try starting a game.

It will be located in:

/dev/shm/runcommand.log

Use SFTP or SSH to give it a look.
