Hello, I'm looking for help.

I have this R4i Gold: Front / Back

I got a file named r4igold_wood_v2.50.rar using Wayback Machine, this is the latest official kernel released by www.r4igold.cc for the R4i Gold Wood. There is another update R4GOLD2.6_EN.rar, this didn't work with the R4. I get a Black screen with Loading.

I tried using instructions for different flashcarts but none of them worked. Does anybody know how to make this work? I'm interested in using the most up to date kernel but none seem to work.

When I power on the DSi XL I get a DORASU game with a little kid. If I don't configure the DS Lite to boot automatically to the flashcart it won't be recognized.

My root folder looks like this:

_system_
moonshl2
moonmemo
_ds_mshl.nds
_ds_menu.dat.

_system_ folder looks like:

skin (folder)
usrcheat.dat
strings.txt
savesize.bin
romlist.dat
r4.dldi
font.bin
euc-cn.bin

This is not a YSMenu cart.

You may want to move it into a new thread. I actually have several kernels, and I'd like to individually test each to see which one is optimal.

Left one looks like an original R4, so Wood R4, note that you'll need a 2 GB or smaller microSD though.

Right one should be YSMenu (this), specifically the R4i-SDHC folder.

None of these are compatible. In fact, all of these will brick if you try to use it.

This doesn't support YSMenu. This cart will BRICK with YSMenu.

Hello, I recently got an r4i for 3ds, followed the steps for r4i-sdhc like it says but for some reason the chip doesn't seem to recognize 3ds games when in the 3ds. I can play ds games but 3ds games don't show up in the menu. I tried Dead or Alive Dimensions but it wouldn't show up in the menu. Advance Wars Dual Strike worked so I assume there must be a problem loading 3ds games on my end.
I've tried following the primary kernal instructions, then tried following the dual boot instructions, then tried just using the r4i kernal from the manufacturer website but none of them worked. Is there a problem with my chip?

Heres the card I'm using. MicroSD is is a fresh 32gb sdhc from best buy

That's normal. DS flashcards do not support 3DS games, the "3DS" branding simply refers to that they work on 3DS.

To use 3DS ROMs you'll need to install CFW on your console.

PS you shouldn't link Warez sites as per site rules.

You might want to add Sonic Colors to the Known Bugs section, as the game still freezes on cutscenes.

I am using a Galaxy Eagle GEI on my DS Lite, but for the life of me I can't get Pokemon Conquest to work. I have tried multiple different rom versions, and AP patching it but it always boots up to a dual white screen. Any solutions anyone?

Will this work on my GEI? And which installation should I use.

For some reason my R4i is having trouble with saving. Advance Wars dual strike works fine, but whenever I save, the save data doesn't actually stay there. Completed map scores disappear as soon as I leave the menu, and CO color changes revert to default as soon as I move off them.
When I tested Captain America, it freezes on the first stage transition, presumably when trying to auto-save. The music still runs in the background, but it seems to get stuck forever and never advance to the next screen. When I tested Yugioh World Championship 2011, it freezes up just like Captain America right after I enter my username, also likely when its trying to save. My assumption is that the last 2 games require a proper save to continue, whereas Advance Wars seems to not require it, continuing perfectly fine without checking that the save worked.
I'm using a fresh, 32gb microSDHC from bestbuy. Formatted it the first time before loading anything, then when I ran into problems I formatted it again and freshly downloaded all the YSmenu stuff but it still had the problem. Did overwrite for both cases. Still doesn't save properly. Anyone know why this could be happening?

Search online if there is an a.p. patch for that game, and apply it to the rom.
