Can older console cores be added to the buildbot such as atari, commodore64, odyssey, colecovision, amiga, msx, etc. Also, more importantly, can the 32x core be compiled? I believe its picodrive that runs 32x. That would extremely awesome.

I believe the new nightly didn't change anything. All bugs in yesterday's builds are present in this build. Hopefully the build itself will update later tonight :)

That being said, no rush, retroarch team. Take your time to make this better. :)

You need to get roms for specifically fb alpha 0.2.97.30. Just Google it and you'll find it :)

I don't want to seem like I'm not patient because I am willing to wait months if need be but I was wondering for psx emulation if we're looking more at n64 time frame (few months/year) or closer to a few weeks like it took on vita?

Also if we gain the ability to install home brew to the home screen like we can on 3ds would we eventually get the "all in 1" retro arch so 1 icon for all emulators? that would be the dream imo

Thanks again for this seeing retro arch on the wii u is awesome!!

If you really need a bigger executable that can be done. It could be increased to 70+ mb if needed. Did you guys actually hit the limit?
oh yeah that would be great :D
also, kind of related, would it be possible for the data/bss sections to start at a different address? mainly at an address >= 0x10000000 to make it visible to the gpu. it seemed to work with a tiny test program but it didn't for retroarch.

I can't get any emulator to run. I open them and i can just move the left stick and no buttons work. Not even the dpad.

Are you using the buildbot builds or the ones on the app store? I used both and they work just fine, so....IDK. *Shrug* Try different builds, but they work.

I personally used buildbot builds and most cores worked fine. Those that didn't threw a dsi exception screen at rom loading.

Could anyone help me out to get prboom, tyrquake and RONDO OF Blood working?
What issues are you having?

The WAD (for Doom) or id1 (for Quake) folders can be anywhere, load the .wad or .pak files as if they were roms. Make sure the have prboom.wad from the prboom project too.

I wonder if that was the point of game streaming
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    But it's a dead end
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

@BigOnYa, i only have like 1 or 2 mb sec

Did you feed the hamster in your internet router? It prob died and is running slow now.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Its actua!ly just a old joke, meaning its slow. Was just kidding around with you.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

also @BigOnYa im making some progress on my gdevelop project, implemented various mechanics

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

@BigOnYa, although the bullets are a bit buggy

Not to mention this would be a massive pain to pirate

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
