If you are using the launcher then you don't need all the cores in the wiiu apps folder so you can remove them and free up some space.Quick question, are all the redundant cores in /wiiu/apps/ necessary if you're using RetroArch Launcher?
If they are- is the source for RetroArch Launcher avaliable so we can have it load the cores out of /retroarch/cores/ instead to remove the unnecessary redundancy?
You are right. it does do that. And if i try to load a game from exiting and coming back in it sends a trap conditions met error. I am not all that upset though as I can at least play Tapper. but yeah. somethings up lol. Even when it never did that on the dedicated crapppy gui one.Ok so I was trying out the new mame 2000 core and loaded tapper perfectly fine I then tried to load another mame rom only for tapper to load again no matter what rom I select tapper loads lol so I then switched the wiiu off then back on again loaded retroarch then loaded Ghosts And Goblins using mame 2000 played that for a few mins then tried to load some more roms and yes Ghosts And Goblins kept loading. It seems whatever rom you load first does not get cleared correctly from memory for some reason.
Oh cool, thanks for the info.If you are using the launcher then you don't need all the cores in the wiiu apps folder so you can remove them and free up some space.
Always download the latest one available. So many files on directory.
What do I need here : https://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/nintendo/wiiu/
Thx

Also, I did some more extensive testing on the Sega CD stuff, tested about 20 games give or take, and it seems like it's totally stable now, so I think that means we're all set there. All 20 of the games I tested were in a single session, i.e. once the core loaded, it stayed loaded the whole time without crashing at any point- after I tried the 20 games, I played through Sonic CD as well just to make sure it didn't crash after a few hours or anything, and no issues after playing for about 4 hours without stopping.

I think the bios' has to be named correctly too bios_CD_U.bin, bios_CD_E.bin or bios_CD_J.binBionic Commando is working now in mame2000 \o/ (though graphics are a little messed up, like the screen was shrunk and it missed some vertical lines), had tested several sets for it on FBA and mame2003 and always gave me errors.
@Turn7Boom yes, you need Sega CD bios on sd:/retroarch/cores/system remember set the same path on Directories (although that's the default one)
If this is your first time installing Retroarch on your sd card your going to need

Did you check your devices in Settings > Input?I have an issue with MAME ROMs, so I have a playlist for them, right? But all the games I want to play are their 4 player iterations, or 2 player iterations, and when I load them, I'm forced to control two players using one controller. I checked the RA settings and I'm only configured to use one controller. Are there variants of TMNT (both Turtles in Time and the original arcade), or The Simpsons that I can control one character in, or am I boned? The names are so confusing, I scrolled through, but found no such ROMs. Advice?
I want single player, not controlling two players with one controller, it ruins the experience.

I used to had the same problem, because I configured user1 and user2 to the same controller (forgot to exchange controllers during off-TV sessions...)
Why can't there be ROMs that only control one player in the ROM set?Hmm, I just booted up mame and loaded the Simpsons and it works fine this side? Delete your cfg and try again?Yes, I did, but the ROMs still make me choose to control two players with Controller #1 and it's really starting to rub me the wrong wayWhy can't there be ROMs that only control one player in the ROM set?

Weird, I just use the main zip (not clones) and have no problems. Also I mainly use MAME2003 or FBA, MAME2000 just for exception games like Bionic Commando and Splatter House, maybe there's a bug with 2000?Yes, I did, but the ROMs still make me choose to control two players with Controller #1 and it's really starting to rub me the wrong wayWhy can't there be ROMs that only control one player in the ROM set?

Check the controller settings under Quick menu, maybe something is wrong there.
The roms called "Simpsons.zip" lolWhat do you mean the main zip? There's like, ten variations of each arcade ROM, I need to know the specific name of the ROM as I use a playlist.
I can check my settings, but I know for a fact I only have one controller set, no. of players set to 1, no more, so I just don't freaking know what's wrong. *sigh*.
