there are some dc homebrew roms with millions of saves inside...you could try using them, i used it once to unlock all chars and stuff in cvs2, worked fine, just have to be sure that the save file is correct for your region ver of the game

I am not familiar with where those are located, sorry.

Another question - trying to boot Mortal Kombat Unchained using the PPSSPP core and it crashes after the opening cutscenes before I even get to the main menu. Reading around apparently disabling Media Engine or something can fix that, but I don't see that option in the Retroarch core?

It pushes me back to home and says "The software closed because an error occurred"

Google "dreamcast dream explorer". As for PPSSPP, try launching MK Unchained in standalone version. Maybe its just a RA compatibility bug.

Yeah, but there are ways to convert a DexDrive (.gce) save to .srm for Playstation. But there doesn't seem to be a way to convert these two formats (for Dreamcast) to work with Retroarch......
Ah right. I thought you meant saves in general. I am not that familiar with Dreamcast emulation, so I'm not sure what format is used for its saves, nor what format does RA handle for it.

Has anyone been able to get Musihihime sama working on mame switch? Have got many cave games running but not this and its the best...

Im not a specialist at arcades but i suppose this game is for Cave 3rd gen which is quite a powerhouse and i doubt the switch is powerful enough to emulate it.

Can someone help me out with an issue im having with Retroarch?

When I boot into retroarch, everything seems fine, controller works. As soon as i select a core, the core loads, but my controller doesnt work anymore (nor the touchscreen) but it doesnt appear to have crashed, just doesnt accept any input.

If I load a game rather than a core, then the game starts happily enough, but again, no buttons work.

I do get a yellow message saying (switch controller configured in numerous ports etc)

What am i doing wrong?

try deleting your retroarch configs and see if it helps

Thanks...yea maybe...espgaluda mame 2003) and dodonpachi dai ou jou (fb neo) work and are around the same time but this one seems to be the cut off point...which is a shame as its so bad ass

I'm also playing chrono trigger in retroarch, I can move and battle fine but I can't open the menu outside battle to heal for example. When I press the start button the game pauses and becomes a bit darker but nothing else happens. Any idea how this can be fixed?

Edit: nevermind I feel very stupid now. It can be accessed by pressing x

i might be missing something but how do you launch a 64DD game? i can select it in the 'subsystem' but there is no way to start the emulation...also is there a way to forward from an NSP to load a 64DD game? using nro2nsp and using the mupen core just crashed.

I have seen plenty of problems here and other threads about N64 performance. If there is one kind soul who can emulate greatly their N64 games, please, could you post here the cfg file so that infinite debate is over? I know some things need to be manually changed a bit between games, but a config file with the basics and some already twitched settings to play without issue would be a very welcome help for many, many players. Thank you.

...The only settings that can affect performance in some noticeable way in mupen are frame buffer emu and color buffer to dram. Well, and of course things like resolution and OC. There's no magical cfg that will fix your games all of a sudden. If your game runs very poorly, it's either you're doing something wrong or it is the game's compatibility issue. Other than that, mupen defaults are configured so that the majority of games should run well.

I had Castlevania Legacy of Darkness running flawlessly, and now it stutters in a horrendous way. The same with CastleVania 64, WWF No Mercy (even with HD textures) I even finished them with no issues, and now they lag a lot.

Now, the Color Buffer to Dram should be sync, Async or off? Also I played some rom hacks and they where awesome, and now they all crash or have lag like a damn mad dog. Hope you can give me a hand here.

For the record, all of these well emulated times where on full screen, and no problems, I don`t know what happened, but now it sucks pretty bad.

Maybe you could lend me your cfg file?

Thank you.
