Framerate: FullSpeed -> Original

And I noticed that your Overscan (Botttom) is different from your Overscan (Top). You should set these to the same so they are even. Same with the Overscan Left and Right, which you already have set even.

I see what you mean by the trees disappearing though, mine does this as well. It only happens to the trees that are far out in the distance, ones that are near me don't do it. This goes back to that "work in progress" that I was telling you about earlier. :)

I've noticed that it happens when they are out side of the 4:3 aspect ratios field of view, maybe it has something to do with that?

Woohoo!!! I finally got Mupen working on the switch. However it's all super choppy. Can anyone give me some tips on getting a better framerate? I also have no clue on how to edit the configuration settings for the core.

So with Super Mario 64, trees sorta vanish and reappear as you move around.. If you get up close to one though it'll stay there but the surrounding ones just disappear and reappear.
What you're experiencing is the game culling objects based on the 4:3 aspect ratio when playing in 16:9. The game was never designed with 16:9 in mind, so it's locked to handling everything in 4:3. Objects, including trees, will pop in and out of existence on the sides.

Here's an example of Wario World on GC hacked to be widescreen.

You can change the settings of the core after you launched a game and then by going into the quick menu(normaly by pressing L+R I think) there just scroll to the options.

Did you overclock your CPU? There is an overclock setting in Retroarch see if the game is still choppy after you increased the CPU clock.
If not then the core is just not optimzied enough atm.
Or you could mess around with the core settings to see if you get some fps.

How is this done? Is this with Dolphin?

Also on page 1 of this thread are recommended settings. Find the cfg file on your SD and copy and paste those settings using a text editor.

I don't know if someone said this before but I had some severe problems with almost no game working properly. I tried a lot of different settings without any effect.

Then I deleted the config and the shader files(located at retroarch/cores/system/Mupen64plus/shaders) which fixed everything. This might be obvious for all of you, or if the problem was fixed by returning to the default settings.

rumble was not working doing this fixed it thx

I deleted retroarch/cores/system/Mupen64plus/shaders and retroarch/retroarch.cfg and retroarch/retroarch-core-options.cfg but still rumble is not working.

I'm using Atmosphere with title redirection, and setting player 1 pak to rumble. I've tested it with DK64, Mario Shindou Edition, and BK. No rumble.

Any ideas? Anything else I should try?

For rumble you need to set rumble in core options for player one and go to your switch systems settings -> controllers -> turn vibration off and on again.
Needs to be done once per HOS reboot (libnx missing some init)

I'm in the same boat. I'm still on firmware 3.0. Every time I try to load a game using the newest build, Retroarch just closes and shows me the hbmenu. If I then try to go back to Horizon or launch Retroarch again, the whole system crashes.
Minimal required firmware for JIT patches is 4.0.0
Prior to this version, Horizon is missing required features.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do I install an NSP for Retroarch? I read that you need to do so to unlock full memory to play N64. The Retroarch website link does not work.

I have SXOS and the latest Retroarch cores.

Thanks.
