The latest nightly (as of this post) of the 3DS port of RetroArch has a prBoom core that now has a custom icon, which implies that said core got some love recently. Is there a method (other than screwing with the autogenerated cfg file) to load PWADs?

My method is rather inelegant, but I just made a folder with the correct iwad, pwad(s), and prboom.cfg (listing the pwad in the wadfile field). You can then add it to your prboom playlist in RA (or manually edit the .lpl file), but when you do make sure you select the iwad, not pwad.

{
"path": "sdmc:/Roms/Doom_RA/BTSX_E1/doom2.wad",
"label": "Back to Saturn X - Episode 1",
"core_path": "sdmc:/retroarch/cores/prboom_libretro.cia",
"core_name": "Doom (PrBoom)",
"crc32": "",
"db_name": ""
},

It sucks because you'll end up with several doom/doom2 iwads on your sd card; Maybe creating a symlink would work?

Thanks for the lead. I'll test it later.

UPDATE: I just discovered an easier method whilst screwing around. If your PWAD doesn't require a DEH loaded alongside it (and it's a Doom II WAD) just load the WAD itself, and it'll probably go. It probably helps that I put the IWADs in the bios folder, too.

Is there a way of having the game boot straight into Doom when you launch the icon? I keep having to manually select doom.wad in ‘content’....
Thanks :)
