Actually I'll bet that no-one was testing this particular stable release for 3DS. There are a ton of systems that always get released simultaneously for, regardless of whether anyone is actually monitoring each system.

Also, for those using stella (arari 2600). The core has been renamed to stella2014. Next to this a upstream version will continue under the name stella.

For the upcoming builds, if you have issues, use stella2014.

Have you guys deleted the .cfg files from the /retroarch/ folder?
Sometimes having old .cfg files from older builds can cause crashes.
I always deleted everything before a new installation. I use a N3DS.

Maybe they test it on Old 3DS. Or Citra.

I hate to say it, but the retroarch team doesn't test the 3DS releases at all these days. If it builds, it's ok.

The rendering issue affected all ARM7 builds. It was created by adding a general function and not disabled properly for some builds, including 3DS.

If you encounter 3DS related issues, make sure create an issue on their git. Else it probably won't get fixed.

Apparently it was an issue with the threaded renderer, and has since been fixed. Builds compiled after that fix should be working again on 3DS, so starting from tomorrow or so the nightlies should be usable.
Today's nightly is no different on my end, still crashes out immediately. :(

Same here. And not all cores are included in the latest nightly build, so apparently more issues have arrived.

The latest nightly still working was from 04-05, 05-05 is missing and every build after crashes. Shouldn't be to hard to trace back.

do you have the appropriate github link so I can report this issue there? Thanks!

For general retroarch issues: https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues

For core specific issues: https://github.com/libretro/
Look for the name of the core which gives issues and report there.

@MrHuu Thanks! It seems to be a general problem as Retroarch crashes among all the cores I've tried to launch so far.

Well the newest nightly runs on my 3ds. Unfortunately gpsp still crashes randomly with dynarec on. Bummer
Strange ..... I'm testing every new cia release since v1.7.7 every day, but so far all crash shortly after launch....the build of 2019-10-05 is still pending.
