Lol, people were scared with RE4 that RE will just become a FPS.
It's getting more true at each new RE, I just really hope it's not 100% action 0% horror.

Give Capcom credit, they know how to make a trailer.

I really, really loved Resident Evil 4. 5 wasn't bad, but it wasn't at that same level; it didn't really feel like it knew what it wanted to be, and it suffered for that.

Hopefully Capcom finds a good balance with this. Perhaps if one of the campaigns was more singularly focused on survival horror (Leon's) while the other is more focused on action (Chris'). Bring them together in the end for a boss fight against a horrific monstrosity (with some back and forth banter between them) and I'm sold.

I haven't played RE5, but I enjoyed RE4 a lot. I played RE1 a bit and shortly after I quit because I can't stand its awefull controls, the annoying camera, the limited ammo and stupid looking zombies. If I get a PS3 I'll probably pick this up with RE5.

They know their past mistakes. Sure, the trailer looks full with new action elements, doesn't mean the suspense and terror won't be there.

It looks like they are implementing everything they've done on RE revelations onto RE6. Different character stories with different ennvironment settings, one creepy claustophobic and jump scares and other more actiony with a bunch of enemies. I liked the trailer honestly, I just hope capcom doesnt do its usual fumble with dlc additions.

General storyline synopsis-

According to Capcom, the game's story is as follows: "It has been ten years since the Raccoon City incident and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place in the belief that it will curb the current resurgence in bioterrorist activity. Due to be by the President's side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, but when the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, Leon is forced to face a President transformed beyond recognition and make his hardest ever decision. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack. With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire world's population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left."

It sounds like Chris's scenario is going to be more action based, while Leon's will (hopefully) be more survival based... at least, that's what I hope happens.

Everything in the trailer up untill 1.30 = Awesome. It had zombies , back to the old style , area looked more civilian based, closed off corridor areas and not big open areas, storyline sounded like it could be good , leon shooting zombies in what looked like a highly populated zombie area very akin to the intro of resident evil 2

Everything after 1.30 = Awful. Looks like a gears of war game with the slide and hide mechanic , the scene with chris in the street looked REALLY linear just like every other FPS these days, the chase scene towards the end looked tacked on and looked identical to the boat chase scene in RE5

I want to be excited for this, sadly im not.

Is it just me or does the Leon of RE6 looks like the Dante of DMC4? Anyhoo, it looks like a promising game tbh, save for the GoW'ish moves. I'll probably wait for more gameplay vids though.

I'm not sure where people are seeing the game as being super different... it looks just like RE4, and RE5 'cause RE5 was just RE4 with new graphics I guess seeing enemies with guns might be putting them off... but that's been in since RE4 also :E

Jeez people, it's one trailer.
I'm sure there's a lot of puzzles in this RE, but they didn't show it in the trailer, after all, a trailer is supposed to make you interested in the game by showing you action packed parts.
This game actually looks quite decent, much better than RE5.
That new guy looks like he's melee only, that should be really interesting.
