Well, if saves work exactly the same I was hoping the plugin would work too but maybe they changed stuff as you said

What I have managed to do is cheat my way on the JPN one giving myself 77 of each item, then saving, and SDM'ing it to the Fates US and having all items intact including 77 of the Great Lord and Lodestar seals. This way I can play it again and understand why my characters blush without assuming they all say kimochi des~

I take it that its not possible to SDM my existing Fates US save and copying it to IF in order to cheat some stuff, then transfer back?

Wait, so what would be the steps to do this?

I assume you mean for USA?
As of right now what you want to do is take your saves from the USA copy using save data manager, import them into a JP copy of the special edition, then you can run whatever codes you want using NTR CFW. Push X+Y and a menu will come up.
When you're done just use save data manager again to apply your save back to the USA copy.

Homebrew - http://smealum.github.io/3ds/
Save Data Manager - https://gbatemp.net/threads/save-data-manager-and-editor-for-firmware-up-to-9-9.396245/
Boot NTR - https://github.com/Shadowtrance/BootNTR/releases

I suppose I can try to write up a tutorial to use the plugin on USA? Sorry if it's not good. I hope this is more explanatory.

You'll need:
- CFW of your choice (I use rxTools so I am writing from the perspective of that)
- NTR CFW 3.??
- Homebrew launcher
- Save Data Manager
- A copy of USA special edition and a copy of JPN special edition.
- Title manager, or another way of installing files to your emuNAND. I believe these are dev files that I cannot link to for legal reasons.

Setting up Homebrew:
For anyone else who may need this, we're going to assume you already have CFW and emuNAND access. This is not the tutorial for you if you don't have those set up already.
Smea already did a good job at explaining how to set homebrew up, you'll first want to view the "Preparing your SD card" section and get that set up. Afterwards, choose the injection(?) method that best suits you. I have a .cia file installed to my emuNAND though I can't remember where it came from.

I don't particularly want to explain how to set it up using each method, please look somewhere else for it. I'm sorry.

Getting the plugin to work:
Next you're going to need to install Boot NTR using title manager, devmenu, ect. I'm not sure if FBI works but even if it does it's in your favor to get a new installer anyways. Boot NTR is the program that allows you to use this plugin, you'll want to use the app every time you wish to use the plugin.
It should create a plugins folder on the root of your SD card, that is where you put the plugin linked on the other thread. Don't mess with the folder name or anything, just put it in and leave it be.

You should now have SD CARD ROOT/plugins/game ID folder/plugin file.

Importing and exporting your saves:
This part is a little bit time consuming for me at least since homebrew takes you back to sysNAND when you exit. Make sure you have Save Data Manager in your homebrew before beginning by taking the files and putting it in the "3ds" folder on the root of your SD card.

I am taking the assumption that we are going to move our USA file to JP and back, if you're just looking to import your JP file to USA just do this part backwards.

Launch homebrew however you would, and find save data manager (SVDM). It'll ask which game to boot, pick your USA copy and wait for it to start. You'll get a screen asking if you want to export or import your saves, EXPORT them and then exit. At this point you will need to restart your 3DS and go back into homebrew menu. We're going right back to SVDM, this time pick your JPN copy and choose to IMPORT the saves.

You now have your USA saves on JP, meaning you can use the plugin! Make sure to boot back into emuNAND when you are done, and run NTR CFW before launching JP IF. Once you're in game, I wait until I'm in my castle, push X+Y and it should bring up a menu. I can't remember which option it is, it should be at the bottom, click it and you'll have all the cheats.

Apply what you'd like to the game, save, and exit. At this point in time you should have enough knowledge on how this process works, if not just do the opposite order of what I said above.

...

I hope this is explanatory enough, I'm very new to the scene so I may have gotten terminology wrong and I may be taking the long way to do it. I hope it helps though!

That's annoyingly long process to do for each time I wanna use a code.

I've heard talk of people being shadow banned for specific things they bring over through their save file.

Oh, really? I wasn't sure if they were compatible or not, thanks for telling me!
Sorry if I'm just spreading a ton of misinformation.
