I have removed the battery and connected it again. As you can see here:
https://photos.app.goo.gl/S9GLS3rAd15DFaed2
The sync time is now correctly set to 11/7 but still no luck trying to launch it. Firmware 3.0.2
Can you try letting the home screen dim before trying the gesture. Also are you using the joycon grip? Switch is docked?

It's true, we've only had reports of it working on 1.0 so far, so it's possible there's some other condition... Hopefully it's not that it needs to be the actual real network time. I think this is a good step though, my switch (with no battery removal) snaps back to the current date when I tick that box.

So the OP is a phony then? Since he said he had recently accessed the e-shop before accidentally launching Flog?

Or he happened to do it precisely on July 11th?

Well he made this thread on July 22nd, so the timing could certainly work out. And it stands to reason that someone playing their Switch on July 11th might have accidentally triggered it.

Just wanted to say thanks to both of you for your investigation here. There's got to be something...

I'm totally in agreement with you that the trigger is the waking motion of the joycons, it makes a lot of sense

Those are the rules of the forum.

English likely is the universal language nowadays, nothing we can do about it. Nice to see an spanish speaker bro out there.

By the way you wrote, I can assume you are from Argentina, right?
Nope, spain [emoji16]

Unless another high ranking nintendo official bites the biscuit, I'd say it's a distinct possibility we will have to wait either for a homebrew trigger or a miracle..

The universal language is Math and also arguably Art. The most spoken language on our planet is English though.

Also I think it might be important to note that @Setery believes the date to have been 7/19, even though 7/11 is what the binary and 1.0 users are reporting.

@Setery, it should be safe to assume that since you were on the eshop and it was July, that you were on 2.0+ fw, right? not 1.0?

same to you! For some reason this hunt is very important to me.

It makes sense to me as well, but I haven't seen any evidence. What are other potential triggers that might instigate this from the home menu that line up with the OP's story?

I'll try that. Switch undocked, tried with and without the grip.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Actually, if I leave the joycons in a plain surface, it takes less time for the menu to dim than leaving them in the starting position of the animation.

Edit: nvm, still not working.

We need a video of the action being done with the joycons.
It's just a Please understand gesture you make and then a sound appears. Joycons must be parallel to each, and perpendicular to the ground.

The joycon grip controller is how you set the joycons up, just slide them into it, then push forward, with the buttons facing you.
