Hey I have something really important regarding the NES emulator on the Nintendo Switch. I had this really odd experience with my switch that when I had left and returned to it, NES Golf was on my screen. I played it and it played normally, but it was night time for me so I wasn't thinking about the importance of this. I went to do some research on this and I didn't find anything about it until I looked at what was discovered by the modding community. They found this "'Flog' NES emulator. Installed on retail systems but not known to be launched by anything currently." I believe that "Flog" is simply "Golf" backwards and I had somehow caused it to launch. Now this is entirely your choice to believe me or not, I totally blame myself for not recording any of it and since it happened randomly to me, I do not think I can repeat this myself.
I want to know if anyone else has experienced this just so I know I'm not alone on this. No I did not record any proof of this as I'm stupid and when I was finished playing it I exited out of it without recording anything.
Edit: Due to a request I'm linking this guy's twitter who seems to be able to look into this further https://twitter.com/ylws8
Final Edit: Going to link this thread because it gives them credit for their video and everything http://gbatemp.net/threads/secret-nes-golf-game-on-the-switch-a-tribute-to-mr-satoru-iwata.484536/ To further explain you have to be playing the Switch on 7/11 (July 11th), but since the Switch caches your date and time when connected to the internet, the system knows you're trying to fool it so this will not work on Switches above version 1.0.0 and if those Switches have used the internet (even if you have date/time internet sync turned off). I probably won't be replying to this thread anymore and thanks to all those who have helped. I guess we all have to wait until July 11th of 2018 to experience this for the first time (for me the second). Thanks to all of those who were really looking into the binary/code of the system. Again this thread wasn't made to fool anyone, I just wanted some people who knew what they were doing to help out on this.
