So far, the Legacy mode seems to be faster for me. However, it's more buggy, since it will crash several times without known reason. Mostly because of timeouts. I'm getting usually around 1050 KB/s with this method.

The Newest mode is more stable, with the ocassional crash or timeout. I'm getting max 500 KB/s with this method. Again, speeds are subject to router's features. It can vary and improve for those with better routers.

Hi !

Here are some little feature requests:
- Support for NASAs network install feature
- Save config on exit (especially the 3DS-IP... editing config-files is somehow ugly )

Keep up the good work ! :grog:

Regards
Rudi
Ah, by the way. The IP is saved automatically as you type since version 0.5. No need to enter config files, nor anything like that. In fact, I encourage to use only the GUI and never touch the config.txt file, everything in the config file can be edited from the GUI.

The only reason the config file still exists is because it's the simplest way of saving info. Maybe I'll encrypt it so people can't see its contents, and only the app can be used to read it.

April 13th, 2016: SocketPunch MOD v1.2.0-beta
Standard multiplatform JAR
Native EXE Installer for Windows

  • Now compatible with the recent FBI 2 release.
  • You can switch between old and new protocol, so you can still use wjchen's FBI 1.4 build if you want, or use the latest official FBI build by Steveice10.
  • The FBI 2 (newest) mode should now transfer faster than v1.1.0-beta. Please, help me to test it.
  • This is a beta release. The Newest Mode could present more bugs than the Legacy Mode, since it's been tested less.
  • Added German thanks to user @robflop
  • Added French thanks to user @Badablek
You added new lines. I'm going to update the italian translation

hello, I'm not sure if this might be an issue with SocketPunch or the latest release of FBI v2.0.4

Hi there.

Does it happen when it reaches 100%?

If so, it seems an issue with my last SocketPunch release. I'll fix it as soon as possible. Thanks for commenting.

I also am having the same problem as Kikoshi. SocketPunch reaches 100% but FBI stops with a few megabytes left to go and fails. Im not able to install any cia with this.

Yes actually :), It shows that it was completed and installed on the log file of socketpunch but fbi shows this error instead.

What a pity!
Same problem here, but everything else works very nicely. I reach an average speed of 1Mb/s. Hope you can solve this issue easily!!

Hmm, new one doesn't want to open with 1.8 jdk/jre
98% it's my side's fault, but still, did you change something major?

Actually managed to start it with jre (dumb move at my side with PATH), 100% error and all that.
Still don't wanna work with jdk

Legacy working great for me (and idk how since i went to bed) after both files were installed i was kicked to home menu

both files installed though, so hooray for convenient bugs

The program does not play well with FBIv2. It always makes FBI throw an error.

I know it's not cia doing it because FBI installs the cia no problem off SD card.

Would it be possible for the Windows Native .EXE to not install under C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\SocketPunch? I really prefer not to put anything aside from my OS under the C: Drive.

this program is not working for me, had fbi 2.0.4, didn't work, updated to 2.0.5 still doesn't work..
error in fbi says connection reset by peer
