This seems like a great build. However, I am having a slight issue with the .3dsx version. Unfortunately, it cannot detect any of the Spy Fox games (I get an error when I try to add them saying that it cannot find the game). They used to work in version 0.2. Does this build contain the SCUMM engine in the .3dsx version?

It's likely I accidentally didn't enable the engine for HE games. Sorry about that, but it will be a bit annoying to correct that. I'll have it in the next build but that probably won't be for another week.

Settings (which screen to use, stretch screen) don't seem to save? I'm running the cia version.

How do I update the CIA version? Do I delete the old version through System Settings first, then install the new CIA with FBI? Or do I just install the new CIA without removing the old version? I've never updated something installed via CIA before.

Video shows cursor looking weird (happens in the 'newer' HE games) and a game specific glitch to freddi fish 5 which crashes ScummVM. I hope this is enough information for you to be able to find the issue and fix it.

I know what the problem is with the cursor, it happens with many games atm. I'll fix it as soon as I get a game to use that can duplicate it. The crash itself I can't really diagnose. Could you post a game save near the part where it happened?

I've got another entry for the glitch showcase:

Monkey island 3: The Curse of Monkey Island

Stuck at the beginning of part III.

    Included are two savegames:
    • one at the beginning of Part III (disk2) (massive slowdowns)
    • the other is where the pirates just don't let me sing along. (see video)

Those dancing pirates still haunt me in my sleep...please stop dancing!!

    EDIT:
With a save (from PC) right after the song ended, i was able to complete the game without any issues.

Here is the save. It's happens on the second one (named glitch). It's triggered by clicking on the screwdriver (as seen in the video). I hope this helps!

The problem I'm having with v0.2 not saving screen settings - is that a confirmed bug you can replicate, or is it just me?

    Hello there~

I've had few of my old games nearby so I have tried them on PC, Wii and 3DS with following versions:
    - PC - 1.8.0 (Linux and Windows)
    - Wii - 1.7.0
    - 3DS - 0.3

    Tested games are:
(The Legends of Kyrandia 3 is not tested yet, I'm not very fond of that one :P)
    - 3 Toltecs Skulls
    - Goblins 1
    - Goblins 2
    - Goblins 3
    - The Legends of Kyrandia 1
    - The Legends of Kyrandia 2 (Hand of Fate)
    - Teen Agent

    The Results so far are:
    - 3 Toltecs Skulls - works on Linux, Windows, Wii ; The intro movie has sound but no video (sometimes it crashes, sometimes not), the game itself works, a bit slowish and chopish, but should be playable
    - Goblins 1 - works on Linux, Windows, Wii ; goes so slow on 3DS that snails evolve faster (as Emperor would say)
    - Goblins 2 - works on Linux, Windows, Wii ; goes so slow on 3DS that snails evolve faster (as Emperor would say)
    - Goblins 3 - works on Linux, Windows, Wii ; goes so slow on 3DS that snails evolve faster (as Emperor would say)
    - The Legends of Kyrandia 1 - works on Linux, Windows, Wii ; doesn't work on 3DS because it doesn't see the .dat file required here
    - The Legends of Kyrandia 2 (Hand of Fate) - works on Linux, Windows, Wii ; doesn't work on 3DS because it doesn't see the .dat file required here
    - Teen Agent - works on Linux, Windows, Wii ; goes just fine on 3DS, so far I have nothing to complain here, graphics and sounds works (special .dat file in game directory required)

That's it for now, I will try to test Kyrandia games for the next time.
Goblins games are quite simple games (I guess) so it's a bit strange they run sluggish on 3DS.

    That's all folks, have a nice day/night/whatever

    iSubaru

    EDIT #1
OK, it seems I have kyra.dat in the folder of the Kyrandia 1 and Kyrandia 2 but ScummVM doesn't like it. I will have to find out where he wants that file to be first then.

    EDIT #2
Hmm maybe... maybe main /ScummVM directory will do the trick...

    EDIT #3
Nope, still no dice. In that case I'm changing test results to more accurately reflect what happened there.

I am curious as to whether or not this project is still in development.

Yes, but I've been busy with a couple other things. Won't get back to this for another week or so.

some things i don't like: 3dsx not even load from HC, using cia now.
to add a game it take so much time....
no graphic settings and video plugins especially for the upper screen it look so bad, instead the bottom screen looks 1:1 resolution,
volume too much low even at 255
mouse not visible on upper screen so if you play on top screen you have to look at bottom screen to use the mouse.

The 3dsx build isn't recommended, and you probably don't have a proper title installed for that to work. You can install latest Youtube and it should work.

Press SELECT for screen options. If you're wanting to play with the top screen, then disable the bottom one. Otherwise it assumes you're using it. You can also change the stretching there to maintain aspect ratio.

Not sure much can be done about the volume.

the only graphic settings is stretching :( no other video modes or a video plugin shader like on retroarch, can you add it?
