This is how I got it working for all my systems 2DS/3DS/N3DS. (assuming you've moved the RXTools folder onto your SD already and have no FIRM/DATA folders)

O3DS/2DS:

Under RXTools (tools) folder, run the python script and grab the 002,102,202 bin files.
On your SD, create a FIRM folder under RXTools (NOT FIRMWARE), place the 002,102,202 files there. (delete or move the DATA folder if you already have one)
Boot RXTools, it will start the data installation suite

N3DS:

Grab the FIRMWARE.BIN (encrypted only) - can get from cakes if needed.
Rename FIRMWARE.BIN to 0004013820000002.bin and place into the FIRM folder on your SD card (no other files are needed)
Boot RXTools, it will start the data installation suite.

Yea it's written in the readme, but seems so many have that problem. (Make sure your FIRM/DATA folders are empty before starting)

I am having problems with mset ds profile trick. I can't get it to work. It was working initially then went to bed and stopped working. It gave me the error "cant load native firm 4". I tried various things now when I load it up through the ds profile I just get the rxtools screen then the screen goes black and it crashes.

Rxtools still works through the internet browser/launcher? any ideas/tips to fix this. it prolly mattesr but im on a 2ds

I've finally gotten the latest nightly to run on my N3DS FW 9.0.0-20U, but when I launch rxTools it jumps back to the HBL, unless I hold the L key (my trigger for MenuHax). If I change theme on my emuNAND, will that cause rxTools to boot back to the main menu?

Changing a official theme shouldn't effect emuNAND

you use MenuHax if you emunand and realnand linked you change emu theme also change real theme

My NANDs are unlinked, and MenuHax isn't configured for my sysNAND, which is why I'm at a loss as to why rxTools boots into HBL instead of emuNAND. I'm guessing that MenuHax is still installed on emuNAND? I guess it wouldn't hurt to try to remove MenuHax from emu.

So, u must move the entire folder "firm" to rxTools folder to use the last nightly build

So I tried a bunch of different things. Now my when I load rxtools through the ds profile it just loads then crashes (black screen) completely lost now.
