maybe the game is not properly emulated yet. try disabling sound. by the way, not every game runs at full speed in pfba.
for arcade games, if you are not satisfied by pfba, try Retroarch. i prefer pfba for the GUI.

Is there a combination to rescan roms or something special that needs to be done for PFBA to see the games? Using CPS1/Neo Geo games with the proper names, from a working 0.2.97.40 set, in the ux0:/data/pfba/roms/ path, and PFBA Vita Mod 1.14 / 2017.01.29.

you can change the way the roms are shown by enabling/disabling clone and not full working roms in the option menu. by the way, i experienced that some roms checked as "working" don't work. For example Altered Beast. If you launch the green working version it doesn't start. To play this game i had to enable "clones" and to launch a "yellow" version of the rom.

Yeah, but the thing is they never show green in the list, they are always missing. I tried loading them from ALL, since WORKING does not show anything.

if you are sure those games are supported by latest version of pfba, please tell me the name of some of them so i can check on my pstv

ux0:/data/pfba/roms/ is correct. in /roms/ folder roms must be put in .zip format . I'm able to play the games you've mentioned on my console. it's very strange. try unistalling pfba, reinstalling, launch it to create folders, quit and then open vitashell and copy .zip roms in roms folder. try with one game, but copy every .zip file owned by that rom.

OK, I put the .42 roms, and when I enable it to show only working plus clones it says 4687/4687 ROMs available, is that correct?
And 1647/1647 without clones.
