I have two Vitas, one on CFW and one on the current OFW. Can I transfer a bought game from the OFW (new, undumped) to the CFW and play / dump it? Does it make a difference if I use two different accounts?

Works fine

That video is just a scam, I hope it isn't yours. NoNpDrm doesn't work like that. When you launch a game, it generates a fake license file.
It does not allow to run content without any license, as you could have read in the readme.
He already owned the game or a valid license, so he didn't need NoNpDrm at all. That's why it worked.

Nope. Its works. Just try on any pkg

It works only if you already own or owned the game in the past.
Or it also works when you use a fake license. But fake licenses are usually uploaded together with the game files, so there wouldn't be any point.

I do not have this game
Dude. Just try it yourself
Install PKG Installer + vitaRW (for 3.60 from devkit, wololo for more info)
Download any pkg file.
Use QCMA

Tried 3 pkg games downloaded with the old PSNStuffX + QCMA:
2 worked fine :
1 gave me error failed (C0-14478-4) : (Metal slug 3)

It's working ...

I know what these wise guys are doing. They are installing drm-free packages.

In fact, when one of them tried to install a commercial, not drm-free game (Metal Slug 3), he got the C0-14478-4 error, that is strictly related to drm.

So it should works with PKG games having a trial version !? Like readme state NoNpDrm can unlock trial versions to complete ones...

Awesome stuff! Released earler than I expected :D

It might be possible to use Major_Tom's old method for applying romhacks, as it supported encrypted, untouched games as well as decrypted games.

https://pastebin.com/pz9FbTet
This acts the same as an encrypted game normally would, so any tricks that apply to them (including dumping with something like Vitamin/Mai) should work here.
The only change we make is the license.

PCSF00019 Super Stardust Delta.pkg (trial)

Games where the trial/full ver is just an unlock and they're the same PKG, though, would be a (niche) application of this.

I have about 25 games bought on a account that got banned. Before I was banned I backed up the games using cma. Would theses work now?

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare

@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
