That is my bad. The patch was indeed for X. My Japanese failed me apparently. Search for ンスターハンターダブルクロス instead. It says v1.1.0 for the Patch name but it will download the v1.2.0 update patch.Wait, that patch is for X, not XX.

It's okay. How do I use FBI to scan a qr code? That is my bad. The patch was indeed for X. My Japanese failed me apparently. Search for ンスターハンターダブルクロス instead. It says v1.1.0 for the Patch name but it will download the v1.2.0 update patch.

use FBI on your US 3DS to scan the QR code (open FBI -> go to Remote Install -> Scan QR code)
Follow the directions in the first post to set up the patch.Okay, I scanned and downloaded the patch. Now what?
Okay, I did this, but it's still in Japanese. Do I have to run NTR? If so, how?Follow the directions in the first post to set up the patch.
No you don't. Did you enable "Enable game patching" in your Luma settings? What version of Luma do you have?Okay, I did this, but it's still in Japanese. Do I have to run NTR? If so, how?
Can you tell I didn't hack my 2DS myself? Anyways, I went into Luma, but I didn't see an option for "Enable game patching." Where is it?No you don't. Did you enable "Enable game patching" in your Luma settings? What version of Luma do you have?
That's Luma Updater, not your Luma settings. Turn your 3DS off, hold down the Select button and press the Power button at the same time, and you should be booted to your Luma settings. From there, enable "Enable game patching" and press start to save. You'll be booted to the Home Menu. From there, launch your game. Can you tell I didn't hack my 2DS myself? I have the latest version of Luma.
Whenever, I start Luma, I get this.
Could the fact that I'm using a physical cartridge be the issue?
YES! It works! Thank you! That's Luma Updater, not your Luma settings. Cartridge version has no difference than digital version.
Nope, works fine for me.Is the host down for the patch files?
If you mean apply the patch via NTR CFW, then no, you need an older version of it. If you mean use NTR CFW alongside the patch applied via Luma's LayeredFS, then yes. However, NTR plugins and LayeredFS patch will cause crash on O3DS.Can we use this patch with NTR cfw?
So i can only use 1 among LayeredFS and cheat plugins? If you mean apply the patch via NTR CFW, then no, you need an older version of it. If you mean use NTR CFW alongside the patch applied via Luma's LayeredFS, then yes. However, NTR plugins and LayeredFS patch will cause crash on O3DS.
On O3DS yes, but if you find a CIA with the patch included (eg: 1.2 update+V4 patch), you can skip using LayeredFS so you can use cheats just fine. On N3DS you can use both LFS and cheats without issues though. So i can only use 1 among LayeredFS and cheat plugins?
